right, update time i suppose.

All the braided reservoir lines are now done :ermm: and hidden nicely so you cant see them, put the reservoirs in the weber box and eventually will do a plate on dzus fasteners or something to hide everything nicely

Posted Image
and yes i will weld those old OE holes up one day!

Posted Image
they sit quite nicely, im pleased with the position, but going to have to tidy up the water hoses to the heater so they go through the bulkhead lower down and you cant see them as much, and im going to soak the expansion tank in bleach because im too cheap to buy an alloy one, "if it aint broke".

Posted Image
also shot blasted and sprayed the damper mounts, didnt want to buy new ones! im very pleased to see the normal mini setup back on it! coil overs were a baaadddd idea!

Posted Image
Also going to brase up the bonnet so it doesnt flex and i can have it sat down properly again, looks alot better I think, even though it doesnt let an air out the back, might cut some holes in the back or something. This isnt sitting down properly, havnt adjusted the front pins, and the back ones are off now.

Posted Image
lowwwwwww-ering needs doing at the back!

Posted Image
Posted Image
a nice resin'ed sticker done by martin for me :- going to take off the horrible GB and flag off the back too, tacky, eww!

Posted Image
and wheel centres for when the 13's go on.

Posted Image
yum yum yum, horrid wheels though, whos buying them? lol

Posted Image
looking a little bit cleaner than in other pics

Front brake lines
Mapping

Cheers!

Nice clubby mate, your have to take me for a spin some time :ermm:
Also is it alright then not to have coilovers fitted to this sort of engine conversion.

for a reason that will no doubt cause a debate and spam my thread like mad. Lets just say personal experience, and others experience.

is that in relation to the front only? or back as well.

PS- the project is clearly finished, it must be because the stickers have gone on :D

i cant say from experience on the back martin! only experience is on the front. Baskys had some experience of rear springs. As far as i no, running on standard turrets with offset coilovers on the rear is not a good method.

did you ever have your coilovers set up for your car ie spring rates correct and corner weighted? the direction on travle on the fronts is rather good i thought as the must effective position for damper movement is up and down and its quite close on normal sus'
other people must have had better success im sure

Another update, not been able to do a whole lot of anything recently, to snowed down with everything. But been chipping away on any days ive had.

Ive made a proper hanger system for the exhaust, just need to change the furthest back one which is jubilee clipped with a rubber piece in between. Then cut a section of stainless and welded it onto the back of the can as a finisher, with a sliced cut end.

then i decided it was alternator o'clock and got myself down the scrappy for a small alternator search. Managed to get one from a "daihatsu move" or something like that. Then found another from a Subaru Justy, which i hid in the scrappy in case i need another! £20! bargain. There the nippon densos that are sold by companies like SBD as 'race alternators' for £140!... +vat! madness. Also saved 2.5kg

So yer, thats where ive got so far, just need to work out why my lambda sensor has decided to always read 21.9 ;)
