RIGHT THEN!

time for an update.

finally got all of the wiring done except linking the wideband lambda to the ecu, so its just up on a gauge and in a separate logging software at the moment. So the dash is back in :D finally!

memo to self, buy a better steering wheel!

Also... GOT THE PEDAL BOX IN! you may have noticed in the other pictures. Ive slammed the steering wheel straight into my privates, and the pedals are now in a brilliant position, before they were a little high so i lowered them. I made the brackets to they could be shimmed at the front to change the position of the pedals.

All of the fuel lines and the wiring is now installed, and so is the fuel pressure regulator, just need water lines and the engine bay is done!

so yer, hopefully go out and buy some water hose tomorrow, went today but couldnt find any big enough, just want to drive it now!

Cheers,

Al

RIGHT THEN!

the ebay special fuel pressure regulator didnt work, so i replaced that with a weber alpha one, which was surprisingly cheap, and works! bonus. Ive also fitted the radiator, mounts welded on the front support bar, and one coming across from the cylinder head, although i would like to get one laser cut from a thicker plate soon, something a bit nicer... carbon maybe. Also started to line up the filter, and ive marked out the plate for the filter that ill make out of some carbon sheet i have left. last thing, exhaust, picked up the pipe, seemed to weld alright with the MIG welder, stainless wire and it penetrated really well, was strong enough to withhold the mahoosive explosion that i put through it the other day my turning my engine over with no HT leads (squirting LOTS of fuel into the exhaust) and then putting them in and trying to start it. Resulting in a 2.5" stainless tube, 1.5m long, full of fuel, being ignited, damn it was really loud. Car isnt starting at the moment, struggling to get hold of a base map. not cool!

Anyway, heres the pictures.

I got a base map and...

 it runs!

5qh8laoNOMs

number 1: Im not a chav, i just like wearing comfortable jogging bottoms in the garage
number 2: Why does my voice sound so different on camera? lol

Also got all of the water system plumed in, oil pressure gauge running, just dont want to run it anymore until the exhaust is finished, picking up the box tomorrow hopefully, so should be more of a bearable racket. Well please though.

Cheers,

Al
