He said it.

Some people are actually genuinely upset that he's gone. Keep this thread nice, yeah?

this is going to impact everything, almost as much as Diana did back in....97? err..anyway, i reckon current musicians are going to make tribute songs, political leaders will probably mention him (Obama definetly will). all the music channels will be flooded with his music for at least a week. A bit harsh to say, but his heirs will no doubt make profit from the rise in his royalties.

Whether people like it or not, we've all danced to Thriller and the like. His music is awesome.

RIP.

Totaly agree! I was always sceptical about the person - but his music was and still is great!
I don't listen to it anymore, but 'back in the days' it was imense! Still like it if someone plays it somewhere...

Shame about his going down in the last couple o' years...

Cant believe hes dead!!! I love his music, I know he's personal life was under speculation but still one of the greatest singers of his time!!!

R.I.P Micheal Jackson. :D

As for the jokes, guys, seriously the poor guy has not been dead for 24hrs, please start a new thread, at least then people who are truly upset dont have to read your comments. thank you.

Edit: spelling

I agree at the end of the day he is someones, Brother , Dad, son, Etc, so some respect I think is needed here after all how would you feel if he was you dad, Brother or son, and everyone behaved as bad as some of you? in the past I have defended this forum ! I don't know if any of know but on some of the other forums TMF is know as THE MUPPET'S FORUM, come on guys lets show them that we are not what they say and we do respect others no matter who they are? as St Frances of Assisi said "God help me to accept others as they are and not how I would like them to be"

As Craig said

I Did laugh, lots. But as luvlygirl said people are genuinly upset about it and might not find it funny. Just think there should be a place for the jokes and a place for the serious comments.

And he's right this is not the place, so show some respect to other members

 :D :D :dontgetit: :( :( :( :) :) ;) :(

Sad times - there will never be another like MJ, he was undoubtedly the King of Pop and had an impact on modern music that will probably never be bettered. No matter what people think about him it seems clear that he was a very troubled man who never got over losing his childhood to fame and a very oppressive father, which effected him throughout his adult life. He was a musical genius, one of a kind, and a legend that has left one of the finest back catalogues of work in pop music history.

i have just heard someone on the radio compare jacko to princess diana, and tgat has annoyed me.
There is no comparrison, princess diana helped milloins of poeple around the world and raised milloins of pounds for various charities, and went and dug out land mines, as far as i can remember, she never was arrested for child abuse and she never dangled a baby from a balcony. The only comparrison i can draw, is that they were both a bit nuts.

Was rather shocked to turn on the TV this morning and hear this.

I remember listening to Thriller as a kid.

RIP MJ

Was singing some of his songs on the way to work this morning.
