the panel gaps between door and a panel is un-even so the shell has warped?

I think thats because the wing is not welded to the scuttle , so isnt sitting right , the a panel hasnt even been welded yet so if its mis-aligned will be sorted

Look at the stripe on the door and wing, in the 2nd picture(early one), the stripes line up.

In the first picture I posted they don't and look to be about 2 cm out. Looking at the wing/alignment scuttle theres not 2cm of adjustment.

I think that the front of the car has dropped and at the moment isn't aligned correctly.

Could it be because one of the door hinges is snapped and dropping the door or something?
When you push down on the front of the car , it goes into place better so maybe what you are saying is correct
Any ideas?

The entire front of the car needs to come up, I don't think that its anywhere near aligned correctly, If you can get the shell to twist just by pushing down on it then you have a BIG problem.

The shell doesnt twist , its because the scuttle isnt connected to the wing in anyway its not sitting right
I'll check it next time I'm at dads and we'll see what its like
Reckon I might have to change the front end then?

The front end does need changing, however thats not the problem. The front corner of the shell has dropped, this means that the subframe mounts/suspension on that side will be lower that the passengers side. This means that the car won't steer straight.

I dont think any of the subframe mounts are connected to the front end , will check next time and get back to you

im with shifty on this one, looks like your shell has dropped one side or twisted somehow, i'd look into making sure its nice and straight before going any further

its good to see you trying to save a mini but some just aint worth saving, if its of sentimental value then go for it but otherwise i'd look into another shell, can be picked up quite cheaply and definitely wont be as much work for you.

good luck
