I would've done but I didn't see that Mini Spares had a stand there.. due to the carefully positioned banner along the front of the stall, right where everyones legs were.. ;)

Minispares had a stand there? :D I was looking out for them!!

yep it was on the second isle on the left, the banner was on the front of the stand, you couldn't see it with all the people
standing in front of it, One of our club members said he was going to the Minispares stand so I followed him, I wouldn't
have known they were there otherwise..

Dad just emailed through some photos

Dremel and lots of accessories, excited to play with it! & a few welding supplies.

The canister sits on the back of the trolly as well, tidies up the garage and it makes moving it around a whole lot easier. Was having to 'leap frog' them before.. move the welder move the tank forwards, move the the welder move the tank forwards etc..

Hey buddy. nice project & nice garage, were you as dissapointed with February's calendar girl as I was, January was a hottie! Anyway I see you've got the gas bottle, will you be using just pure CO2 for welding then not the argon mix? Also what're you gonna be using your new toy for then, just tidying smaller things up, any other plans? Good luck Ian.

Yeah we'll be using the proper stuff when it comes round to the real bodywork  thanks for the support!

Yeah the dremel type tool will be for smaller patches of bodywork, although Dad says it feels a bit whimpy.. I'll try it out on some scrap metal when I go home for a weekend.

Surprise update! I didn't think I'd be coming back this weekend, bit of a last minute decision. Also coming back next weekend, so should make some good progress :mrcool:

If you can remember me ordering 2 RH castle hub nuts for the rear hubs, instead of one for each side.. well I found the old LH one and cleaned it up, but then realised I didn't have the washers to sit between the hub bearings and the nut :teehee: so I'll put a big order in with Minispares, and then finish the rear subframe next weekend.

Today I turned the mini on her side and attacked the underside with the Angle Grinder and Drill with a wire brush, I wanted to basically see what's solid and what isn't.

A few before and after shots.
