well we almost got the oil cooler and thermostat etc hooked up today, but ran out of time this eve and also ran out of jubilee clips as some were dud ones and wouldnt tighten and others i tightened and they stripped grrrr!.


but will get pics of the instillation when its finished.

thats jubilee clips for ya! Vinis lookin saweet as a nut, great work on this and liking the new colour scheme. shouldnt be long now ay yeti?

edit: also, love the new gear linkage, looks very smart, will be interested to see how different it feels compared to the standard

well didnt get alot done this weekend, what with a marriage prep thing with the vicar, and visiting the other halfs dad in hospital.

also conneccted one of the heater hoses but 2 jubilee clips broke grrrr!

cheers phil, yeah i cant wait to drive him and find out how the gear linkage will feel and work, it does work but it will probably take some getting used to.

Which means the indicator/wiper stalks are 4 inches further away too. Or is it just the angle of the picture?

i havent stuck a seat in etc with the snap off boss so i dont no what its going to be like driving with it.

and leaky yes at some point i will probably paint the engine but its not on top of my list of priorities, as were getting kicked out of the garage soon, so need to get it mechanically and everything else finished.

Im also trying to identify my carb so I can get a new filter and gaskets, it's a 1.5" but don't no which carb

That is a SU HS4 Non-Waxstat carburettor!

I'm 100% certain, so its not a wild guess you sometimes come across on here!

That is a Waxstat version, the waxstat was added to lean the mixture when they warm up....to be honest their crap, so you have the better HS4 for power and reliability!
