So long as you sort out the sagging bits and get it fitted tightly I think that looks awesome. Imagine that in the roof of a paul smith mini :D

It's glued in places but not around the pillars Which is where it's saggy, but we've still got pieces to go down the pillars so we can pull it tight down and then glue the pillar pieces over the top.

I love the stripes and the colours, and it will contrast well with the black and blue seats and the black dash

Thanks for looking

Looks really good mate, you're not far off now. I'm in the same kind of position, can't wait to drive it. Hope everything goes well, looking forward to more updates.

hmmm not sure about brooklands, would love to get him ready for it, didnt quite manage to get the doors finished tonight, as we had to change the window winder channel bit that clips to the window, and that was a right female dog to put on, the old one came off easyily as it was rusty and falling apart lol, but one door is almost done just needs the central locking stuff mouting in it, the other door is half way there.

so roll on sat!!!

thanks for the comments guys, dave im sure you will be on the road soon enough matey!!

Just read all the way through this, really good little project. I love that it all started because of one little thing need replacing

I love the colour, grey minis look fantastic. I was a bit sceptical about the wheels at first, but now they are properly painted they also work well.

I have to be honest, I wouldn't use that headlining myself, but its certainly different. Putting that in a Paul Smith Mini would be amazing though.

Great progress, well done! Keep it up and get it on the road ASAP.

Right he won't be ready for brooklands on the 25th as it was raining today so couldn't push him out to work on the headlining, but we did get a door finished (didn't mange to hang it as I forgot to buy the nuts for the hinges grrrrrr) but the central locking bit works and so does the leccy window!!! Yay

Nice commentary on the video ;)

Nice to see though, its what i'd like to do on my doors. Are the windows normally smoother than that? or is that normal...

Not sure, we were using a tiny little 12v battery so it might just be it had very little power, but we shall when it's connected to the car
