They are usualy, luckily my friend knows someone who is breaking a saxo VTS and as there much the same i asked for them, im not sure the coilovers have even seen the road as the car was in storage for a long time.

the struts need different bearings pressing into them but thats because the saxo was a newer model and even tho they share the same engine the newer are engines used different drive shafts. still tho, my friend at temple raly sport can get me those on trade also so its still not expensive and i have the basis for when i build my rally suspension and front coilovers.

yup, its used as a daily for the moment, volvo had to go as it was a haggard piece of junk and i wanted something which actualy had a bit of speed, the GTI suited that well

cut springs..deary me lol still tho, the people on 106 owners sound very questionable, not that iv been on there yet but hey, not every 106 owner can be decent, sure there quite a share of chavvy thing they know it all bunch on there. same with everywhere i guess

did you ever see the 60 page long thread with a guy trying to fit a induction kit to his 1.1? Is was so bad it was shamefull! 106oc is full of trash, there is a few knowledgeable charachters on there that really know their stuff. 106rallye.co.uk is much better from what I have found

I have a few parts if you ever need any arches or bumpers. Also have a brand new momo boss.

Good luck with the car mate, seriously under rated IMO and tar'd with the "chavez car" brush when they really are not

yeah might well want some bumpers n stuff, or my friend might as spares.

nope i never saw that thread? im guessing it was an epic fail tho

today iv been fitting my decent rear beam... bit of a pain in places...say where i ran out of break fluid and where the ABS sensors wouldnt come out the beam so iv got ABS light on my dash...oh well stupid thing! i want to get rid of the ABS for rallying anyways.

the previous owner lowered it some amount...its still up in the air but im guessing its going to be too low! so will get that raised at some point

Ah well atleast lifting the rear beam to a driveable height isn't overly hard, just a bit of a pain in the arse!

Well if you do need/want them let me know as I will be letting them go on the cheaps

This was on eBay at one point wasn't it? I was watching it.

yeah its was, shame the head cracked was very fast for the money it cost me.

update :) i raised the rear beam up a while back as it was gashly low

however yesterday in the snow some twunt decided it would be a fantasticle idea to crash into me

Posted Image

after removal of the light unit and lifting the ECU out the way i was able to see a bit more of the condition of the inner wing

Posted Image

it creased across the washer bottle hole, it wasnt fantasticly rust free under there so at least theres an excuse for the bending rater than being stupidly weak...dont particlualy want that when i eventualy get on with building it into a rally car
plus it will be seam welded.
i tried pulling it out but couldnt get any traction due to the snow still laying on the street.

So iv already fitting a new headlight at least to make it legal and drivable...which included some hammer time on the old wing...quite satisfying really!

Posted Image

so heres how it sits at the moment, drilled a few holes in the old wing and bumper and ziptied together to stop and potential flapping lol

plus side is that all the suspensions fine, i drove it back from the incident. Iv potentialy found some of the potential replacment pannels already too, but there down in essex :trooper: but can work something out im sure

annoying though thats for sure!

was going up a hill on a single track road, which is fine to pass if both cars move on over and slow down, its a dips own through a left hander and up a hill so i was going up the hill when i noticed another car at the crest of the hill, who then proceeded to pass a passing place and carried on down the snow topped road, stayed in the middle of the road. Bearing in mind im trying to climb a slippery hill i pull onto where the grass verge is, due to this 'tard not moving over. had a few inches to spare and the grass verge slipped away and just at the last moment slid off the verge into the path of the vehicle. 1st thing i asked is if he skidded and he said a bit...really dont know why he didnt move over though so very irritating, typicle scared of the snow type i think.
Pretty sure its his fault, dcos he didnt move over, carried on decending a hill dispite seeing i was trying to climb(after passing hte passing spot) but its still goign to cost less to fix myself after excess charges etc

when i crashed into him i slid along side him and had to get out the passenger side...saw he had a dog in the back, one of the 1st things i asked if his dog was ok before asking if he was :) he had 2 other people in the car so doubt they would have been too thrilled if i drop kicked him down the slippery hill! as much as it would have made me feel better.

he was driving...a skoda felicia, hunk of junk estate thing, insurance would write that POS off within a min of arriving at an assesment
