I pushed my present girlfriend down a ski slope in Austria >_< , 3 years later and still going strong (I now live with her)! I think its just down to right time right place, as long as when you are at the right place at the right time you speak up!

I think running is probably the best form of exercise for losing a bit of weight, and after that build up muscle stamina and then muscle strength. Sort the running first, since it counteracts any muscle building you do generally. Once your doing weights you want to do short stop start cardio to avoid it burning muscle! >_<

Haha, that's classic .

How do you know the right time and place though :|.

Typical it'd be running, it's one of those things that I really don't like, prmarily because I'm useless at it. I'm going to try and walk briskly to and from the garage from now on, rather than driving there every day. It's cheaper and it can only help my cause I guess :).

Regards the exercise, pretty much what has been said previous, to focus on fat burning you actually need to keep your heart rate down a bit (say no more than 130bpm). Keeping it down will get your body to use its stored energy ie fats as apose to its immediate energy, blood sugars. This happens if you keep a high heart rate, where you'll improve your heart but not lose fats anywhere near as quick, and as you burn up your blood sugars quickly you'll also quickly introduce lactic acid into the muscle, not great.

So summary, light to medium heart rate work 30mins a day, 5 days a week. Jog or the bike will be ideal but remember to keep the heart rate down should be below 75% your max for your age (google it sure you'll find the actual chart/scale). Drink plenty of water, better to sip constantly throughout the day rather than down pints at a time.

Investing in a heart rate monitor (strap and watch) may be a good idea. Not as easy to keep the BMP down as you may think.

edit: found a heart rate chart for you. >>clicky<<

Hehe, they are clean, I only wear them for going out so there nice >_<.

Ahh, but you see. Even if I'm talking to a gorgeous girl on the forum, I've no idea! In real life it's more like "Woah, she's really pretty, she could get the attention of any guy in here, why would she want to talk to me?" so I don't bother.

Thankyou sir >_<.

Is 30 mins a day enough? I'm happy to do 30 mins, I've been pushing for burning 300 cals on the exercise bike, but while keeping my heart rate at about 120BPM it takes about 40 mins. If 30 mins is enough, I'll ignore the calories >_<.
