Really love what Bernard's done to his Mini, definately one of my top 10 Minis of the weekend. Top work.

My favorite, didnt see the Minor at CP or Brighton but the guys in it were really cool and loved the Mini.

Good stuff, I managed a round trip of as near as dammit 570 miles through sun, rain and fog and she didn't miss a beat, not bad for a car I did t sed to trust following past indiscreations! Very chuffed! Saturday night was a cracking laugh too, lots of friendly people and the busiest and best organised campsite I've seen in a while, had some very funny trips around the site with all the blues and twos going and Ghstbusters on the stereo, loads of fun and entertained everyone plus even the usually grumpy bossy security staff were cool on it. Also, if I ever go again I'm really not drinking that evening, bear with a sore head doesn't even cover it....sounds like some of the TMF crowd can sympathise!!!
Bad stuff, there was no excuse for the run pack situation this morning, an hours queue is well out of order and I don't understand why it happened given it's never been a problem before plus it added at least an hour to the start time of run which was pish! I cannot for the life of me understand why on the the club do not hand out packs the night before, it would be so much simpler!
And then on top that the official route into Brighton was set out by a blind man and added nearly an hour to our journey, I wish I'd just ignored it and gone straight in! And then there were marshalls at Maderia Drive appeared to be picking their mates or something for prime parking spots, no special stickers or anything and the rest of got sent miles away despite being in the second row of cars to leave the park!
Garrrrrh!

The only reason I could think with the run packs is to stop people driving down to Brighton the day before to get all the good spots along on the front?

It was the same route into Brighton last year. It seems to work better traffic wise. I went that route back and missed all the traffic through Brighton. My dad left bright half hour before me and I got home at the same time including a de-tour to the ladies house.

What good spot...i having paid for the privalige to park in madera drive had to park on the inramp...but also saw many driving past me to park on the seafront....and that was about 2pm...with lots and i do mean lots of spare spaces
I'm confused...
Minor winge, for a good day out...owell maybe next year they wont have a buddy system parking scheme

Didnt see you either!
Oh awesome, he must be ok...ish then

I'm working nights and moving house, so wanted to make this! Will try better next year and hopefully actually get a TMF stand organised, Vern might even be ready

What a weekend, my first one!
The mini, which I only bought a few weeks ago, was awesome. Decided it didn't like its exhaust at one point so let it fall to the road but once that was back on it was great (a little blowy but oh well)
I'm shattered! Loved it though!

No one is allowed on to Maderia Drive before 10am on Sunday, it's just not open so I simply cannot see a reason for it, the marquee is actually open on Saturday night selling T-Shirts anyway so why not hand packs as well for the evening to any campers who want them, it would save a bloody lot of hassle on Sunday morning when some of us would rather be eating breakfast and packing up without having to rush rather than queueing for two hours for the pack.
Two more points, I am not a serial moaner, I've been going on the L2B for the best part of a decade now and it is by far and away my favourite event, the craic is great and once you clear the traffic south of Croydon it's a fun run down, particularly if you can team up on other traffic on the M23! But sometimes I feel things need to be said, mainly so they can be improved for other runners next year and I just don't understand the pack system, it's rubbish! The only reason why appears to be some odd LSMOC fasination with secrecy over the design which seems a high price to pay for mass chaos. We could all be running around CP the night before in "company colours"!
My main point about the official "route" into Brighton was not only that is was miles too long (added nearly an HOUR to our journey!!!) but the actual road it's self was NOT a main road, very narrow, and worst of all, very very bumpy with lots of potholes. Running low as many of us do we can easily bottom out and damage something. Not what you want. Stick to the main roads and just let people head in where they want, we all know the main routes in, I just wish I hadn't followed the signs this year!
