sent all the way to the Marina end when there were spaces in the middle at the other end!

I noticed that, there were areas chalked out for clubs to fill but as most of the cars were stuck in traffic they remained empty for most of the show...!

The route though london was a right ass ache. One persons ball joint had split and where stuck in the middle of the road. I had no idea where I was meant to be going so was trying to keep up with a mini in front which was made a hell of alot harder by busses and traffic lights. I still really enjoyed it. I saw Graig totally out of it which was really quite funny. I took loads of pictures so will up load them and up them up here.

two things...

1) Are mini drivers usually nocturnal? I just got up after sleeping for 15 hours, because i couldn't get to sleep the night before the run, with all the noise in the camp! :dontgetit:

2) Great run, i heard that someone (not involved with the run) actually crashed because they were too busy looking at the Minis?

3) Which Basingstokers was i driving up with on the return home journey? A silver Park Lane and Red Mayfair...

I came all the way from Taunton! When I got to Reading I noticed the oil pressure light kept coming on at low revs!
After meeting up with some people from South Central Minis I drove on to CP.
I wish to publicly thank STUART GT! (I think that's who he is on here?) for his help at CP and his banter in the evening.
Decided to go for it anyway even with the light still coming on.
We were in the bottom field so we decided not to join the queue and to drive out through the car park.
We must have left at about 7.30 along with about 10 or 15 of the people from France who were a great laugh! the had a rather...erm...European approach to the laws of the British roads and had a good laugh with them!
Got to Brighton 45 minutes before the gates opened and got a space right next to the ramp onto the sea front.
Managed to spend £120 even though I didn't pay full price for anything!!
Car still got me home and Dad's diagnosis on the oil pressure light was "drive it 'til it blows up" which is encouraging!

Overall had a great weekend and well worth the money!
Better than my last 2 attempts!

Glad to hear you had a good time Luke ;) You posted last year about the trouble you had :dontgetit:

I might try London to Brighton next year when I can afford to do it as well as Rivi, as I decided Newquay was the more appealing option this year ;)

I believe Stewart is now 'Sleepy Stu' ;) Formerly Steward_GT ;)

Yeah, was great! Thanks for the info. I did see a few Jurassic Coast minis and looked out for yours but obviously you weren't there!
What made it even better was that I spent every penny I had but got every bit that I needed!

Would like to know if anyone has any contact details for the French people that we were following (would have asked but not sure how much english they spoke!)
I have a few photos for them!

Urmm I dunno who's the sliver park lane is. The only park lane that went with us is purple with glitter in the paint.

But would they be these 2?

O yea and I got a picture of yours.

Yeah a few of our club members went there for the weekend, and a couple just went straight to Brighten. Oh well, fingers crossed next year I'll be able to do both shows, as I won't be in sixth form anymore and I should have a full time job instead of working part time for Tesco :dontgetit:

Be sure to come say hello if you do see me at shows in the future though ;)
