No one is allowed on to Maderia Drive before 10am on Sunday, it's just not open so I simply cannot see a reason for it,
We arrived at Madiera Drive at 9.15am, and was politely directed to a parking spot with no probs.

Good to see the LSMOC playing their own rules once again then, like no queuing until the gates open!

It seems that the run in recent years has really affected what time people arrive in Brighton, and I know I would be really miffed if I didnt get to the show until after 1pm. I think working out additional exits to open at CP would be a good idea - or even better - close the main street in CP - they do it for other events and I'm sure it would prove more effective than the filtering system.

Just as a point of reference, we arrived at Madeira Drive at 12.30 and when we left at 3pm there were still people arriving down the ramp and the show is supposed to close at 4pm!
And before anyone has a go at me I realise that it's not all LSMOC's fault as there were several bad accidents on the A23 but that would have been irrelevant if we'd left CP at the right time!

I kinda wish there had been a few more signs in Brighton, because i some how got sepertaed from the people i was following, took one wrong turn and started heading for lewes. Which added a good 10 miles to my trip.
Other than that i thought it was a cracking day!

The smartest move I made was exiting through the gate in the bottom field instead of queueing up in the line. Parked outside CP at about 6am, and set off at just gone 8am with nice clear roads. Was a shame that some people who were ahead of me in the queue didnt arrive at Brighton until about 1.30pm when I had been there for hours already.

I think youre on the right track, my other half who had never camped the night before suggested to me why dont run packs get given out to the campers on Saturday night. (people with a camping pass?). That would mean people that start queing at 3.30am on Sunday will have thier run packs already and will be ready to leave when the run starts. Alot of the congestion occurs when people that have queued thier car are still in the queue for the packs leaving stranded cars blocking people in...? That would mean anybody turning up on the Sunday morning can park up the car at the back of the queue and collect the run pack alot quicker...?

Driving in convoy with so many fantastic cars (really makes you appreciate how hard people work on them).
My first run going well with no car problems at all!
Bad bits:
Organisation of the event (run pack queue, queue's in general, slow transit from CP, poor signs to the seafront etc. etc.)
The weather on the way home! (I have never known rain like I drove through on the M25, my footwell was full of water!)
Overall I had a really good time, and loved seeing so many of your great cars, but I'll think very hard next year about parking outside of CP park, and getting an early start down to Brighton. I got to CP park at 6am, and with no stops, didn't get to Brighton until 2pm - doesn't really smack of a well run event to be honest.

Left CP fine then my Mini starting to missfire really badly and was unable to go over 3000rpm, not much fun on A23

Found a Halfords so a few leads later and problem still there, stuck in a service station Mr Orange Man came along and an offer of a Sandwich and Coffee his head was under the bonnet

No fix...So A23 back Home to London it was, we got 4 miles from Brighton and the traffic looked so Bad we thought best to Nurse the Old girl home.
Only 1 picture as SD card left at home for camera.
My mate sorting the Tunes at CP in the morning while cueing
