had an awsome time.... me and my friend were really getting into the spirit of it we were ridiculously hyper when we were up in the morning! we were in the red mini with yellow spots, wheels and wingmirrors :dontgetit: we had lots of people take pictures of us and the mmini ;) and it meant people's attention was er distracted from the rust....good planning that!
anyone seee us?
we were really lucky...ook a really nice route down the a22 and got there a bit goone 12 beating traffic and got parked lliterally next to the main aarena ;) it was awsome...my first official run (we went to brighton last year) and i loved every minute of it, even if we couldnt get to sleep until 1 and got woken up at 3! we were in club camping so we couldnt even move our cars until 6 but they let us go in amongst the first and secoond lines because we got promised we could que first lol.....
i cant believe people get up so early! especially with the state of some people...glad i only had a few ciders!
hope i can doo it again next year!

I had a great weekend they only issue for me was the parking in Brighton they told me to park on the ramp when there was loads of spaces down on the front, having payed for the spot down there I expect to have it not a ramp where somebody stole my l2b grill sign which annoyed me a bit.

Well Saturday was brilliant! Morph suit mayhem was a scream! Thank you to everyone especially the other morphs for a great day/evening!

Sunday.... Well it doesn't pay to be patient. We moved the cars to the queue line as instructed and wanted by the commitee members at 6 o'clock and was put to the back by the 1st queue line. We didn't leave until 10 past 10!! Took about an hour and a half to 2 hours to get out of London. Stopped off at pease pottage services for a break. By this time I was knackered and was thinking of just turning around and going home. Soon as we left the services we hit major traffic. Finally I made it to Brighton just after 2 o'clock after loosing most if the convoy, I got sent all the way down to the marina. Literately. After finding a few of my friends, we made the walk down to the main show to find loads of spaces free. By this point I was so angry and tired I wanted to just cry and wondered why I didn't turn around at the services.

Next year, If I decide to do the run again, I'm gonna park in the lower carpark like I had planned to this year. :dontgetit:(

Well, it was my first ever L2B and have to say I was majorly dissapointed with the whole of the Sunday.
There seemed to be very little organsiation of what was happening on the Sunday morning.
We didn't actually leave crystal palace until 10.10pm when we had been lined up for well over 2 hours by this point.
When we eventually got to BRighton at wound 2.10 pm there was a ling queue to get into madera drive, then we were parked at the far end of the car park so it took 20 mins walk to get anywhere near the show area!
The driving through London was hectic! Especially when your in a convoy try to keep together - this was not helped by the marshalls who split us up- nor was the Marshall at the lower end of the carpark at cp where we had been lined up - he was too busy talking to one group of people and was not helpful to the rest of us.
On the whole it's been a long weekend for me ( driving from blackpool) I'm driving home today from Reading - so I think they have got a lot to improve on befre I come back !! I thought the 25th celebration was to be a big event ? I've seen better organised binges to breweries than this even - not amused!

That would explain why I didn't get to see you yesterday then Roo - as i didn't know if you had even got to Brighton!

Looks like everyone is stealing the bottom car park idea!!

But agreed, the first part of the route was horrendous, took me a god 45 mins to get down elmers end road - at which point I went AWOL and headed back to the M25 via Penge an got to brighton in about 1hr 45 (due to breakdowns en route steven :dontgetit: )

i know who won the raffle!!!! IT WAS US !!!!! We are absolutely over the moon because we never normally win anything. Unfortunately when we bought the tickets we stupidly told our daughter that if we won it she could have it. You'll probably see us about in it because i'm quite often in tiptree, my dad lives there :dontgetit: ;)

ahh Roo that sucks! I did wonder where you were!
This is the first year in 11 years of doing this Run that I actually got to Brighton for a good time. I think if I do the run for the 12th year, I will certainly leave early again!

Well after a good run to CP, and good night camping, evenm though we were in the lower carpark this year for some reason.

Left CP fine then my Mini starting to missfire really badly and was unable to go over 3000rpm, not much fun on A23 :dontgetit:

Found a Halfords so a few leads later and problem still there, stuck in a service station Mr Orange Man came along and an offer of a Sandwich and Coffee his head was under the bonnet ;)

No fix...So A23 back Home to London it was, we got 4 miles from Brighton and the traffic looked so Bad we thought best to Nurse the Old girl home.

Only 1 picture as SD card left at home for camera.
My mate sorting the Tunes at CP in the morning while cueing

oh no! we were looking for you we saw your mini at the back with us in cp and liked the wigs! we looked all round brighton and were quite dissapointed as we liked your car and the wigs!

Dooooo it, you should have come with us! Even if we did leave later than planned, we barely hit any congestion compared to the previous years, arrived at Brighton around 11am.

Like Neil said, if we do it next year, we WILL be leaving earlier! I was itching to go at 8 this year but it didn't happen and then there was CP traffic ;)

For everyone that was around and about Brighton, Freddie was the green mini with white roof and cooper stripes parked up on the LSMOC club stand with "Will you marry me?" written in blue on his bonnet! Saw loads of people pointing and smiling at Freddie when they saw it ;)

i know who won the raffle!!!! IT WAS US !!!!!

Congrats! Though damn you also as we never win stuff ;) lol
