The same happened to us! Car overheated in traffic resulting in a split hose. Managed to pull over on a path in CP and repair it. Luckily we had a lot of water on us!

Well after a good run to CP, and good night camping, evenm though we were in the lower carpark this year for some reason.
Left CP fine then my Mini starting to missfire really badly and was unable to go over 3000rpm, not much fun on A23
Found a Halfords so a few leads later and problem still there, stuck in a service station Mr Orange Man came along and an offer of a Sandwich and Coffee his head was under the bonnet
No fix...So A23 back Home to London it was, we got 4 miles from Brighton and the traffic looked so Bad we thought best to Nurse the Old girl home.
Only 1 picture as SD card left at home for camera.
My mate sorting the Tunes at CP in the morning while cueing
oh no! we were looking for you we saw your mini at the back with us in cp and liked the wigs! we looked all round brighton and were quite dissapointed as we liked your car and the wigs!
We gave up when we saw the traffic..Wigs were off...no music and generaly hacked off...BUT will be trying to sort her out this week!

Also met some great people....def do it again not matter how tired I get

Think the only bad point was when at the entrance to start the run some douche in a black mini decided to wheel spin and pebble dash Blink....was not overall impressed. If only I knew who it was.

i just got back, managed to sort out a used clutch plate, and got to crystal palace a bit before 5. people started putting cars in the que just after midnight! i woke at 3.15 to the sound of minis, and managed to get my car a decent place in the que. left brighton at about 4, had a great drive home, about 2 and half hours of a-roads in convoy with two other minis! saw a few cars i recognised as well, and said hello to a few people.
we saw you and waved on the way to brighton, car looks well. we were the crew with a marcos and another mini with flames on the front and red roof
ive just woken up after around 14 hours sleep
we had an amazing time, better than last year as we were in a group. and infiltrating the french and laughing at their drinks, women and engines was a laugh.
i expected the marcos to be tipped on its side or something the amount of people we insulted.
also, there was a woman taking a picture when ewen shouted 'naked pose' and she started swearing when he got up, got his arse out and leant across the bonnet. if shes here can we have a copy of the picture she took lol
did anybody see/get anoyed with the antics in the lower car park lol, theres a video of ewen trying to do his business in front of the queue for the toilet
main negative for us is that we set off with 4 minis and unfortunatly my dads mk1 didnt make it. we had problems with fueling the last few days were the carbs we tried kept letting fuel through, this drained through and raised the oil level and the clutch started slipping as his crancase seal was gone. and gave up in peterborough. we almost pulled a guy from his metro to get the engine out of it

took near enough 4 1/2 hours to get to Brighton with a combination of overheating issues as my additional fan kept breaking the brakets and smashing itself to bits and the traffic on A23 managed to find a nice little detour that missed the traffic and took us into Brighton.
Journey home was just as stressful mini was running fine untill it started raining on the M25 then the mis-firing started and then the exhaust fell off...(suprise suprise) strapped the exhaust to the roof bars and got off the motorway at leatherhead...Luckily we stopped on an industrial estate where a 24hr recovery service was located and the bloke let us use his trolley jacks and workshop to fit it back together so a Massive thanks to MCALLISTER Recovery bloke for that....Finally got back to Aylesbury at 11:00pm

Saw the guys from scmc in their morph suits, took some shots of them haha.
Whoever was in the black suit certainly spooked my girlfriend. Running over and saying "hello" 3 inches from her face is hardly the best way to go about things

Hah yeah. I think you, Samsernie and Purplehedgehog were the only TMF'ers i had a chat with. I think i saw Robbie1's and Minijon's but i didn't want to approach em just in case i was mistaken

Although we were bumming around til quite late, we weren't the ones with the air horn.
Well, they decided it was a good idea to blow it about 6 feet away from our tent just after midnight as i was just about managing to fall asleep.
