By the time we got back from registration there were no cars there, we assumed you had gone!
We went out the other gate in the morning and went straight away with a few others.
I think this was the best plan really as the roads were pretty empty and we got to Brighton in good time and got a good space.
Will be doing that again next year I think.
Was nice to see all of you, though.

Someone on facebook is organizing a run through wooton basset in july for help for heroes and we've said we're going to take it along to that. I'm going to try and get some sponsorship and use it to raise some more money for them!!!!!

That would explain why I didn't get to see you yesterday then Roo - as i didn't know if you had even got to Brighton!
Looks like everyone is stealing the bottom car park idea!!
But agreed, the first part of the route was horrendous, took me a god 45 mins to get down elmers end road - at which point I went AWOL and headed back to the M25 via Penge an got to brighton in about 1hr 45 (due to breakdowns en route steven)
You can still mend a k-series setup with cable ties!!

The last time Bluey and I took part was 2005 and I must say, the event has got a whole lot bigger and better since then! The cars all looked absolutely amazing! Before setting off from Manchester I looked at old Bluey and thought she might even get some attention this year but turned out she was nowhere near as nice as most of the others there!
by the way - cheers to a BRG mini with numbers on and a chap n lady for telling me the brake lights were working...after 500miles I was sure they weren't! haha.
Will post some pictures up this evening and a video...

Urmm I dunno who's the sliver park lane is. The only park lane that went with us is purple with glitter in the paint.
But would they be these 2?
It may well have been, i was so knackered on the drive home, at some points it was genuinely dangerous for me to keep driving

O yea and I got a picture of yours.

Sunday felt immensely unorganised, although I understand it must be an immense task organising over 2000 Minis. Weather was a little rubbish in Brighton, so as soon as i pulled up, had a quick browse and bought a new radiator, i got back in the car, drove all the way to Hatfield in 2 hours (70mph all the way!) had a KFC, got home and fell asleep at 7.
Next year i am definetly parking in the lower carpark. Are run packs mandatory? Because getting up at 5:30am for the first time in two years was a killer

I left CP at 8ish with no rally pack and got in at B after 9ish and presented my 3 part ticket. Got my run pack at 1pm but by then I was so tired and a bit wet the pack just went in the boot, will attach the plaque to Jane the Mini today??
You can get a run pack at Brighton?! I never knew that! This time will probably be the last time I camp then, just apply for ticket, go straight to Brighton on Sunday, park on the Marina, get my run pack job's a good'un

Finally I made it to Brighton just after 2 o'clock after loosing most if the convoy, I got sent all the way down to the marina. Literately. After finding a few of my friends, we made the walk down to the main show to find loads of spaces free. By this point I was so angry and tired I wanted to just cry and wondered why I didn't turn around at the services.
That bit took the pee to be honest! Saturday was ace though. I'll probably be doing it again next year, but might park on the lower carpark or just not bother with Brighton at all!
Saying that though - the CB banter was good!!
