What are your skillls, are you a welder / painter / time served engineer?
If you have none of these skills or facilites then you'll have to contract them out(which costs)
What equipment do you have?
What experience do you have, especially on Minis?
How many have you fully restored / worked on?
Sorry to sound negative but doing this kind of thing is VERY time consuming and requires a lot of skill and experience.

So the body colour would be all the same too? just the roofs and possibley arches that are black? If you can create a unique look / style it could really take off in my opinion.

Why would people buy a "special edition" knocked out by someone in their garage who has embroidered a logo on the seats?
IMO you need to be someone before people would desire your conversions.

I also completely agree with shifty and geehawk. without sounding rude, why are people going to want your conversion? im afraid i just cant see it being the same as the w&p conversions of the 60's and 70's where something really special was produced for high earning customers and big name customers. they had a desirability that i just dont think you could match today, especially if you dont already have a big reputation name.

I think its time for a bit of a reality check here, I don't honestly think that you have the experience or skills required to work on other peoples cars yet.
In this thread you admit to being a "Bit of a noob when it comes to bodywork"

I can appreciate how keen you are but you need a lot more experience before you start even thinking about offering your services to other people.
It appears that this is your first mini, enjoy and get your hands dirty with it.

i take it you have read the post through? IN A FEW YEARS TIME!, and another thing how do you think all these garages started up anyway? jamie from charsima started out of his garage now hes featured in every magizine and he was the garage on PIMP MY RIDE! West Coast Customs saem story. what will people see in my conversions? i dont know something a little different to the noraml Stuff you can buy off the shelves?
So what will you be doing in the next few years to get the required experience under your belt?
What's your plan, whats the difference in your conversions, what skills are you bringing to the table?
The telly people make stuff like that look very easy, trust me it isn't.
