No but Dave & Sally from DMC are marshalling so they'll have to report back.
It was very subdued at the caff today with only about 15 orange hoodies

Ah it's nice to know im not the only farmer on the forum, lol

We're not farmers - just have use of a barn on a farm!!! LOL - my mums kept her horses there for like 25 years and my dad helps the farmers out with mechanics etc so they let us have the space

Day 64...... 4 days to the MOT!!!!

another amazing day - i was hoping to go for the test run today - but the weather was against us and the front and rear screens aren't sealed yet

it will be worth the wait tho


dad fitted the glass in the doors


for some odd reason the drivers one has gone in wonky and we can't get it stright - it does all seal tho..... bit odd!!

then dad built up the passenger dooe while i did the drivers and pecker fitted the seat mountings and seats



then i fitted the drivers doorcard and built the door up while pecks did the passenger






well change the grey pockets for black ones and find a unbroken handle some where....

the doors are REALLY hard to shut - you have to properly slam them to shut propery - the rubber is just too good!!! LOL

and i also fitted the bonnet catch



and dad adjusted it all up to shut propery

then the vin plate went on



as well as the wing mirrors



seats



then we put the chrome strips on the windows and stainless strips on the sills and number plates









then with most things complete......









whooooooooooop whooooooooooooooooop

so what left???

Seal the windows and out the inserts on - buy and fit a grille - we were in the middle of putting the old one back together and can't find any more rivets small enough and fit the rear number plate light - which is still drying as we only painted it on friday.....

the the long awaited test drive

all a evenings work - so it will be ready in plently of time for the MOT

and Tanya has fallen in love with it and called it Cherry Pip or Pip for short - SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO happy - My dad fully rebuilt my first mini, which i still have and love to bits and have had SOO much fun in, met some amazing people and its nice to give that on to someone else, for her to enjoy, have fun with go on epic driving trips and mini weekends with and something that she will practically never have to worry about rust with and will see her few a good few years

day 65........... 3 days to the mot....

started by running the engine for a few mins before changeing the oil filter - and as we turned the engine off i heard a hissing......



the rad has a tiny hole in as the top hose joins it - good job we have all the solder stuff - so that will have to be fixed tomorrow - it didn't happen the other when we ran it the first time as we ran it with the cap off to get rid of any air locks...

so then dad fitted the insert and sealed the back window,

while pecks fitted the new grille



and i played with my ice installs for my mini...





then we all helped fonz fit the front insert



it was such a pain!!! and it didn't help me getting giggles at the top corner when we were all working in like a 5" space on the very last big task of the mini.....

anyway it eventually went in then when dad was sealing it the insert popped out at the bottom, so we then had to struggle to get it back in!!!



and the grille fully fitted



and my door pods fillered



so tomorrrow we've gotta fix the rad, and fit the rear no. plate light - which is STILL a bit soft..... and go for a test drive - so gotta do it tomorrow!!!!

its the great number 2 project as me and pecks are the 'number 2's' in our club - and we joking argue who is number 2a and 2b!! LOL but this is us working together as the number 2's and building something Amazing!!! so it gotta be branded!!!

What great progress you have made!!
Are you having white bonnet stripes or leaving the bonnet just red.
Your Mini looks fab, it's just like mine really ... I think that's why I like it so much
Keep up the good work and good luck when you take it for the mot. Probably see you at some future shows then!
