You're really not messing around with this one!

You're going to have done as much work on this little Mini as I have done on my Elliot, except you'll have done it in a few weeks and it's taken me over a year :|.

todays update - Day 19 of ownership........

sill seam welded at the bottom

Posted Image

then cut a bit of the scuttle off......

Posted Image

and what is underneath....

Posted Image

nice....... lucky i don't have to take much more than this off the scuttle so it will only be a small repair...

oh and this is the back of the scuttle that came off.....

Posted Image

nice!!!

so then i started on the inner finch - i remembered this was a pain on the sky, so wasn't expecting to get it off tonight.....

but going

Posted Image

gone!!!

Posted Image

and the new one clamped in place....

Posted Image

hopefully i should be able to get it in tomorrow night, but i do have to do a few repairs and select cuts before it can go in.....

day 20........

inner finch completely removed ready for the new one....

Posted Image

little bit of the inner finch stiffener..... i think - i have no idea what its called, but its was rusty and had half rusted away, so cut out and replaces

Posted Image

then after moving the holes for the door out a bit after the panel stuck out way over the door...., inner finch about half welded in....

Posted Image

i;m hoping to get all the front end repairs finished this weekend..... then the doors need reskinning, and the front end fitting, then that is all the welding done, and we can start prepping it for paint!!!!, i just hope it warms up a bit for the paint!!!!

and me and pecks had a race along the main road on the way home!! hehe!!! :) - shame she was in her audi and not in the mini tho!!!

day 21 in the number 2 garage......

repaired a hole i missed on the passagener side rear floor/healboard

Posted Image

then fully welded in the inner finch - spot welder = amazing =]

Posted Image

Posted Image

random shot of the engine fonzy has been working away on - he fitted the new electronic dizzy kit today:) and its nearly ready for bench testing :)

cardboard template in one of the inner finch repairs

Posted Image

and metal welded in :P

Posted Image

the shock mount

Posted Image

nice - the actual bracket had holed too....

cut out and first layer reapired, then shock mount bolted back on to welding in the outer skin

Posted Image

repair on the front inner wing, where the front panel is welded on

Posted Image

and inner wing and inner finch all repaired

Posted Image

then i asked fonzy to help me fit the scuttle repair - so wing on.....

Posted Image

and A panel

Posted Image

then fonzy beat the scuttle repair into shape

and me and woo graffiied the wing

Posted Image

it did say Emma's mini, thanks woodpecker - but she crossed out my name and wrote Tanner's mini

Posted Image

then when we were *peeing* around (trying to get the wiring for the wiper out of the parking switch) and coming up with more amazing number 2 ideas......

fonzy had got the scuttled ready to go in... and he held the panel in place and told me where to weld

Posted Image

then i fully welded it in....

Posted Image

and wooo has spent most of today under the mini again!!! stripping off the old underseal and wire brushing under there ready to paint

Posted Image

she did turn into woundpecker tho....

Posted Image

FAIL!!!

so thats the drivers side front all repaired ready for the new front end :D - the other side needs exactly the same... which hopefully we'll get most of done tomorrow....

and fonzy has started stripping the drivers hub ready for new bearing , ball joints, track rod ends, discs and pads :D

its all going very well!!! :D
