After a long battle I got the engine in

Getting the engine to the car I employed the help of my dad

And as you can tell I am very happy with my engine

Now the next bits were quite difficult and required me to not take photos !but here's the result

Adjusting the mounts

I would to stress that not minis were harmed during this staged photo ! But we'll worth the photo my dad looks terrified

Started to bolt up the ancillaries last night,
Clutch slave, coil, oil filter housing, oil filter primed, exhaust manifolds,
Still a lot to do but gettig there where do people put the water temp Sender wire as the coiled cable is huge ! Also where is the bed place to mount a 10row oil cooler ? I like the standard on the front panel but don't want to cut and bend my lovely paint work, what's the cooler effiecenty of it on the side panel above the stater motor ?
I have also been seat shopping this week

Contour clubmans due for pickup in a couple of weeks it's all starting to finally come together,
Look forward to hearing all your comments and tips and where to put things info!

Couple of things that I have done the last couple of days, second breather is in for the rocker cover that goes to the under wing catch tank, this has been done using a Q-max cutter and a little rubber seal to make it look the part, so now my breathers are both in, one thing that this has generated a problem for is that the, catch tank breather sit slightly lower and rubs on the one above, I think just poor workmanship on my part lol !

I have also installed a new ignition barrel/switch/lock as my old one had not ignition love and you can't get replacement parts just the whole unit !

Also used just the oil cooler line, as at the moment I am going other it runnin, then get it setup at a rolling road, if I am told to install it I will, otherwise I may have a serious think about it after a trackday
Again thanks for the great comments can't wait to see it finished and here it run then finally drive it- abuse it and show it off

Amazing work!
I love what you did on the brake lines. I was looking for a solution for the same problem and you just gave me a good idea.
Really amazing looking setup you have there.

by far one of my favourite build threads!! clean engineering!! (the see through pipes take the edge off for me a little) but apart from that personal taste criticism it a beautiful build!
must nearly be time to start another

So today got a few things done main one was all the wiring hat goes off to my uncle **** hot on electrics I know as much as changing a bulb ! So was fun
Whilst he played with his volt meter testing bits I cracked on and minted the exhaust, finished off the cooling system, mounted the rear number plate and completed the cooling system so not a lot visually but a huge among none the less
Next things in list
earth and crank
fuel and start
install dash
install interior and glass
Then MOT, DRIVE and show !!!

Will post up some photos later ...... Need some pressed "show-plates"
