Finally figures out the double banjo setup too !

Woop woop will be bleeding soon,

Electrics 85% done, just need to finish switch panel, fit hazard switch, get new wiper arms some strip led's too then job should be a goodun ! Need to earth out the fuel pump as its not currently working so don't think it's earthed correctly

Have to sort out the rear toe on the wheels as it was toeing in alot but the naked eye, I have roughly lined it up this will have to until I get it into work for a 4 wheel alignment,

All the kill switches now work and no ******** will be stealing this mini, next major steps are going to be be building the engine, and putting in the interior of the car, think going to have my mk1 seats retrimmed in red/grey/gold brocade, with red carpet and door cards, trying to find a really nice morris steering wheel as well, will she make goodwood........ Maybe ;-)

It's nothing major, just means I have a split front and rear straight out the master doesn't make to much of a difference also the rear is on a bias valve so less pressure to the rear than the front

I have for spares :-/ lol

Really don't know what can to use as I am collecting them now ! Have a 276 and a 270 and will be using a aldon red electronic dizzy with no vacuum advance, really remote with a 286 but not sure if te 998 will last if I rev te tits out of it! Spoken to nick swift and he is in the final stages of developing a new cam, which should give more torque than the sw10 similar to the sw5 with very similar top end performance of the sw10......... Shall I wait and get a new cam or use what I already have? I did have a 649 but is was FUBAR so it was made into a pretty paperweight at work !

Bloody engine ! don't want to spend all this money for it to dissappoint advice please engine gurus !

Right then a big couple of days with lots of problems, firstly I went shopping on money and went from minispeed to minispares and then back home, 5 hours later and a lap of the m25 too!

I collected a vast range of bits to hopefully finish the car in the following weeks, I have brought lots of bits from gauges.switches, bumpers engine parts, bright work and other thinks like full maniflow exhaust system including inlet and exhaust manifolds, te exhaust manifold is a stage 2 LCb and the inlet is a hs4 type so that I can eventually put on the h4's that I have if needed,

So Monday day I go shopping, get a call from Dom my cousin (minikenning on here) who builds race engines and cars for a living, and told me we needed to get the can in and done so we could check the deck height of the block and pistons so that way on Saturday it's wagons roll on the engine being finished, so we went down and met a. Few problems, firstly there were 2 types of conrods, which is ok as I worked out 1 part number for cylinders 1/3 and the other 2/4,
Once the pistons we on the rods we then placed in the crank bearings etc and check the float, which came to 2thou which is nice, then we check deck height cylinder 1/2/3 spot on 4 we though was just over flush, after much measuring it was decided that it was flush just bloody close ! So it was taken apart and rest for the build on Saturday!

Yesterday I started on fitting the doors locks and handles and didn't have much success, without seal my doors lined up perfectly, with tem it puts a twist in the door, which I was not impressed about, I move the slam catch on the b pillar as far back as it can go and it got better then had to extend out the catch so I could located the door further into the car therefore bringing in the door,

Whilst this was going myself and Alex another cousin also did bright bits, front bumper and the rears, these needed tweaking as the day a little high to be able to open the tail gate

I finally got my switch panel sorted too! Will show some photos below but a busy 2 days and a busy 3 after Thursday too !

Switch panel all made up and in place,

This is a big update with bigger ones coming this weekend !

Robbie out !

Nice pickup .

One small mistake though your wiper spindles should face forwards not back towards the screen like you've fitted them.
