After this we got the cam shaft in and sorted
Then lunchtime !
After lunch put the block on a scrap box -!: got in head studs and push rods and cam followers

Nice new Guessworks gearbox !

So the dry decking is coming out be hind the breather on the flywheel housing, I'm goin to have to attack it for the next couple of days and try to get it all to fit,

All in a days work !
However I will have to take of the flywheel etc as I need to get to the drop gears as after assembly I cannot remember if we fitted a thrust washer to it ! DOH !
But hey ho good is only week away right :-/
We have also had an issue trying to sort out the cam timing so will be hopefully getting it sorted the next couple of days,
Properly more updates tomorrow

You're doing a fantastic job on this, well done. Love the colour/black roof and think the Mk1 morris grill looks ace. Top notch!

Measuring the end float in the drop gear, too start with it was 13 thou way too loose so we machined off 9 tho to give us 4 thou clearance, ideal for very fast road/race

Modifications on the gearbox breather had to cut out a chuck to allow for the dry deck hose to go on, cheeky shot of the lightens flywheel in the background too !

The nearly finished article !
All it needs is a crank pulley and its in the car !!!!
