well anyway, he is the founder of a mini club i forget the name but could easily find it again
should this mini club really be allowed to shows etc? and should organizers of shows know who they they are to stop them?
they could after all as they have shown/said, they could potentially damage peoples cars while at the shows

no its not funny at all, i agree, i posted on the page too saying people need to be educated more! to be honest, some people are so arrogant and oblivious to what they are actually saying they prob would just say "so, what you going to do about it?" but as you say, he might just feel a bit stupid for admitting to it!
did he reply on the old thread? as in hes a member on here?
i cant seem to find it on facebook. although i am facebook illiterate

sain member 2 - are you serious about this? you slit their tyres and steal their wheels for what reason? you hate the company that the car is made by, so why take it out on the people that own them?
Naughty Member again - Lol im joking chill out, like anything off a bmw is worth selling
a member who thinks he knows it all but actually doesnt says - You're a total div, and I hope you get arrested.

i know its really pathetic, im not a huge fan of the bmw version, but i wouldnt go further out of my way than a friendly joke
i think thats sums up what most people think, i dont like it but to go that far is just wrong, i dislike any kind of vandalism and to know theres some which share our mini passion is disheartening, some people dont deserve it.
i wouldnt even damage a chavved up POS car outside mcdonals
completly agree, what annoys me is when people dont know the history of the mini and the sarga that went on between Rover and BMW, which imo is where you will find most real mini fans problems with the BINI! these guys are obviously just doing it to cause hastle!
Glad to see everyone agrees this is so wrong and could badly damage the good public image of classic Mini enthusiasts if we tolerate such behavior or 'joking'.
By the way 'Mistro' you can't really expect every new MINI owner you meet to know the history of their car any more than most classic Mini owners did when it was also a current mainstream and not exclusively 'enthusiast' owned car. I have personally known plenty of Mini owners over the past 40 odd years who neither knew nor cared about the Mini's place in history but it did not annoy me...........why should it?
As for the saga of what went on between Rover and BMW there are many conflicting opinions and some detailed books on what 'really' happened but unfortunately few 'enthusiasts' ever bother to read them or get to listen to true stories of people like the hundreds of British Rover engineers who actually worked on and developed the new MINI for production or those that still work at Cowley Oxford today...........

by the way, i love those names on the facebook conversation, we should find a way to rename them to those

but as has been said, theres so much more to it than that, which we can all have our views on what happened, but as said, we may never know exactly, and untill we do, i feel BMW went about getting the MINI the wrong way!

Pmsl....
But
When a company rapes another company then sell's it on with no chance and sends 15000 jobs to the dogs it make's some long memorys. it anit about bini's or what ever they call em ( seems bini's owners like to think so thou ) it's about the company thats makes em and the bini is there flagship to take all the flack.
