Replacement log book arrived today :- only 10 working days after they took my £25 :-
So now he's taxed

Posted Image

And the insurance has only about doubled to £475 fully comp :teehee: something tells me my NCB has gone down the pan but I'm not complaining ...

All we need now is Paul to say I can pick him up.

Paul? *ring-ring, ring-ring*

:-

Maybe he's taken a long weekend off ... ah well, so near & yet so far.

Dave, I'm so chuffed for you! Been a long haul but I bet you'll be grinning like a cheshire cat on your way home on thursday! Nevermind about the NCB, you've still got a good deal on the insurance considering!

Look forward to piccies and anticipate the patented Teapot Pose :teehee:

Luuuush! >_< Cant wait to see it finished, i wasnt sure about the idea of making it look less racey on the outside, since most pickups arent, but the colour really works. On the question of bonnet catches, there are hinge adaptor things you can fit to the hinges, like quick release ones. So the bonnet is easily removable but doesnt look it from the outside.

Looks good. Cant wait to see it finished. Would look better with the early type rear lights though although I know how expensive they are. >_<

I cant believe such a beautiful car could get so badly destroyed! Its such as shame. However your rebuild photos are looking very good >_< Cant wait to see full photos of the final product! It will be a proud moment for you when you first take her out for a spin. lol.

Minispares do some quick release hinges which you can use with the standard bonnet lock.

The repairs have cleaned me out, fellas. Thanks for all the advice but I'm already pestering Mrs T for petrol money |

Hello mate, I was the one polishing that lovely orange Austin, I'm doing work experience at the garage, loving the car, best example I've ever seen! Hope you enjoy him as I heard it's been a long time coming
