Soo, I have fitted the lamps on the car, and I will bring it out tomorow and give it a nice goingover - I dont want to kill him, just give him a good goingover

The engine kept on smoking, although the plugs look a bit better. I have dismantled the engine, and have found that the pistons are burned on the side a bit. Soo the oil is travelling beside the rings.

Did you say the bores were 74 mm or the liners?

Piston-liner gap 0.06-0.07mms in each bores.
Piston ring gaps are also good
But the burnt oil is evident on the photo.

Yes, without success. The guy whom I borrowed the gadget warned me, that soo much oil will foul the test.
But at least it approved no gasket leaks, and pressure only escaped down to the sump.
