My Mrs has cleaned and polished it, and I've fitted the leather bonnet straps and adjusted the bonnet catch.

I haven't done anything. However, I did get some pictures from a nice man called Scott who is kindly repairing it all for me. That car is a giant rot box! It really didn't look too bad from the outside - I knew there were a few things but its genuinely surprising how much much metal has been eaten away. I will try and find the old project thread and link some of the pictures in.

I can't wait to get him back though and back on the road. I need to decide once and for all exactly how I want him to look as well. I have been around in circles about 4 times at least I think.

Finally got the mini moving under its own steam after nearly a 2 year rebuild, just a couple of small jobs left and it will be MOT time

I Iike. Was thinking of straps front and pins back and ditching the hinges... for easy access. Is this a fairly common thing?

Jacked front up, changed the bushes on the castor arms and stripped and cleaned the brakes. Learnt loads and I'm black up to my elbows but loved it.
