Replaced the throttle cable, choke cable, changed the oil and filter, and replaced the rod change oil seal. We had a big snow storm here so I had plenty of time to fool with the car.

Looked at it and sighed! Don't worry Arthur, you're having a spa day week(s) in a couple months!

As for Betty, looked at her and growled! Temperamental little *cough*

Started the day off by helping my neighbour with his MGB. Then turned my attention to the gearbox for my new engine which will be going in tomorrow! Rebuilt with new syncro rings, springs, bearings etc. Also put in the correct speedo drive.

Then I decided to fit a new voltage stabiliser so I can tell if the new engine starts to overheat. At this point I also soldered in a bulb for the indicator warning and replaced a few backlight bulbs.

Isn't it great when you find vintage spares in a random drawer in the garage? 2014-01-24163956_zps42546260.jpg

So thats why you wanted the center caps! :P Are they painted black and polished or just silver/blasted? Mine were silver but I'd have done them black eventually

Yep :P they're all silver. I'd like to get them done in the black with polished edging, but I'm dying to get them, plus they're not in too bad condition, so I'm having the new tyres put on and using them as they are for now. Got them from Germany!
