put some topcoat in to my engine bay as a stop gap until I get the whole shell sprayed, filled the bit where the front windscreen rubber goes - after having ground out the rust and treated it with POR 15 obviously. Also did a bit of sanding of the filler. Lots more to do but its nice when you can see it has changed from when you went out to it.

I made this blanking plate for the hole next to my clutch master cyclinder.

Did you chrome that yourself? Where did you get the kit to do it?

I made it from 3/16" 304 stainless which I think in the UK you call A2 stainless or 18/8. I just polished it from rough. The back side with my initials is what it started like. It really wasn't that difficult I cut out the plate with a hacksaw and shaped it with a rough file, smoothing file, then lots of progressively finer emery paper (from 220 grit to 600 wet/dry). Then buffed it on a cotton wheel with polishing compound and stainless rouge. Took a couple of hours. You could polish it without a wheel it will just take a bit longer.

Yesterday - new wheels went on, arches removed, new exhaust went on, sorted out damage someone done to the rear (still not 100%, but it'll do for now), fitted my new steering wheel.

Today - hopefully water pump arrives.

Water pump never arrived, but my 10" mountney did so I took off my 12" one I only put on yesterday and put the 10" one. Love it!
