ive cut the roof of the mk1 race car removed the roll cage for my clubman saloon and sending the remains for scrap!

Cycled 30 odd miles - round trip to my friends garage to where Hamish the Tartan Terror is squating, with a rucksack full of Mini Parts! Prepped and painted the radiator cowling, and radiator top bracket. So all now shiny and black, instead of various shades of dirt.

Sanded the roof down again, with smoother wet/dry. Nightmare,after having union jack logo on there,its as if the lines have burnt into the paint.
Had Gez off the site, over to do some more bits of welding after finding some more holes.
Also took me seat belts out and treated some rust in the roof channel with kurust. Nearly reading for paint.

I mocked up my new exhaust, looked it it and thought to myself 'nice' then put it back in the shed ready for restoring the muffler over the next few days.

Went to see if dad fixed it, which he has only been a few days and already miss driving it.

Then went to pick up a RC40 for it

Tomorrow once got mini back off dad I'm taking my mate to South Wales to pick up a load of goodies for his BMW K100 mini build

Tightened a ball joint which whoever fitted hadnt bothered to knock over the lock tab!

Stripped the N/S front hub and removed the bearings ready to fit new one (when it arrives) before mot next Saturday.

Removing the inner race from the drive flange was interesting - involving angle grinder, chisel and much swearing!

Went to Wales in it with my mate and realised half way home that one of my hub nut split pins broke out /:

Lovely sunshine so just took mine out for a drive, I wasn't going anywhere in particular I had no set destination I just drove, because that's what you do in a mini, sometimes you just drive for the fun of it.
