Did the final coolant hose connections, topped everything up and with just one choke working on my twin Webers (trunion screw sheared on one) I induced the long silent engine to make lots of noise including hissing and spitting worthy of one of my cats lol.

I took my fibre-glass bonnet, cut a hole in it and started building up its "power bulge" to make room for the Webers operating linkage.

Replaced my heater cable which had to be re-routed since it didn't reach going the route it was already in. Was having some boggyness/hesitation hitting 2nd and 3rd so tweaked the timing by ear and ended up advancing it 2-3 degrees and really hit a sweet spot. I thought it was pretty "peppy" before, but now it has so much more power. Still has some run on though.

In spite of the cold, my own personal cold and the fact that I have just hurt my back - I went out and coupled my Weber`s chokes together ( a temp bodge ) and with the aid of the Honda`s battery got "Flash" running quite nicely. It even ticked over when I adjusted the throttle cable. It sounded a bit like a steam engine chuffing away as the banjo bolt on the vacuum take-off has bottomed out so there is a leak there. I`ll take the bolt into work tomorrow and borrow their big vice and hacksaw
