Stood and looked at it for 5 mins with the intention of putting the door on to see how the new hinge post fits but then realised i would need to move too much stuff to get to the door so left it

scraped it on a speed bump and sand blasted a tie rod

Took my rc40 dtm back box off, including cutting a metal bar from the cat on to the exhaust. With a car on axle stands and laying on the floor with an angle grinder.. Sparks galore. Got it done..

Then adjusted my rear drums (had to take 1 of the drums off to free up the adjuster mechanism) then adjusted the handbrake so it actually works now

Pretty successful couple hours :)

Fitted a new passenger side door seal then made some brackets/mounts for my seat locking mechanism so it can get through it's MOT :)

Engine mount bushing replaced after the last 1 disintegrated,

 

Also had a big box of bits arrive with:

Air filter

Bonnet Stripes

and some other bits!!!

Seam sealed most of the underside, Tiger seal gets everywhere.

Replaced the washer pump. Ready for the roads now as soon as more of the salt and ice go away.

As for me I'm currently making/adjusting seat lock down mechanisms so it can get through its mot

Flushed my radiator after it decided to vomit green fluid all over my engine bay...

Fitted a buzzer to my indicators so I know when they don't self cancel lol.
With centre speedo the light ends up being obscured by my hand on the wheel

Swapped chrome bumpers and grill to black and blacked the outer weather strips on the doors.

Not quite the Mini but totally gutted the garage, painted the walls and ceiling twice, painted the floor with 2 part epoxy paint, fitted new strip lights, fitted new shelves, made a new workbench.  Am rather chuffed as it's never been this clear!

 

The problem is there is now space for another vehicle.........  Uh Oh!

Opened the boot. This rebuild is going so well!

Resprayed some old green vinyl door cards to black. Look mint now. Started digging at the rust on the rear valance. 😩😭
