FS - Ben convinced me to take the mini to knockhill on Sunday to watch a guy we know autotesting, and watch the hot hatch track action too. Wow... would have been better having a boat coming home! That said, apart from a bit of steaming up, the car never missed a beat despite torrential rain. There was actually a surprising number of modern casualties littering the hard shoulders!

fitted new clutch, drove it, realised the clutch cant engage because the fulcrum on the arm isnt right, needs spacing out on the thrust bearing
removed rear radius arm for exchange

I started preparing to drop the front sub-frame out. There's not much holding it in apart cables, pipes and the exhaust. I'm using spanners I haven't touched for decades!

Attempted to fit the ultimate engine steady, but couldn't decide where it fitted to the bulkhead...
Fitted front polybush to the top engine steady, but couldn't undo the rear bolt to replace that bush .....
It started to rain, so packed up me spanners and went inside to sulk....
