Replaced the clutch master and slave cylinders, cleavis pin, rubber flexi pipe and split the copper pipe while moving it out of the way. Took the copper pipe off and cleaned everything up.

New copper pipe ordered so just waiting for that now!

Finished soundproofing the floor, bulkhead and boot, and made up a new radiator-thermostat bracket. I'm not paying that much!

All the rest of the engine bay bits back on, oil and coolant in, bled clutch and brakes - thumbs up for gunsons easybleed - why didnt I buy one years ago?! It made it so simple! :proud:  Alternator was seized up but got it spinning with copious amounts of wd40 and elbow grease, probably need a new one but it'll do to see if the motor works. Went to fit the maniflow exhaust and realised I'd got no bolts to fasten all the boxes and cat to each other - Bugger! Anybody know what size they should be?

It was probably a blessing anyway, I'm knackered now! :X

Took the twin 1 1/4 SU's off and fitted a single 1 1/2 SU, fitted the original Air Filter case after modifying it as per the Keith Calver recommendation with a K&N element, fitted a new mini spares manifold and exhaust system.

This was meant for you......don't post when half asleep, I appear drunk......or was I 🤔

Finished fitting a Curley carbon front on Arc Angels up and over hinges, then started on the headlight wiring while I wait patiently for the Sikabond to go off.

My main reason for going back to the single carb was to put it back to original, however I feel the car runs and drives better now, that could be down to my tuning the twin carbs as the carb balancer I bought was worse than useless.

Bolted the exhaust on, put some fuel in the tank ( after a small battle with the lock on the fuel cap! ) and lowered it down onto it's little wheels again, -then it rained so I decided to wait till tomorrow to see if it'll run, ooh the tension is building!

Drove it in the rain! Always a testing affaire. Fan belt squealing and front screen leaking at bottom corners. So more jobs to add to the 'todo' list.
Love it thou

Fired her up! Hooray! :D  Smoke everywhere off oily parts! Seems a bit lumpy at idle so far, and the maniflow pipe seems really loud compared to how I remember the standard one, but it's heart beats again!

Ragged it about with the family installed, until my son decided he wanted to throw up...... had to drive sensible on the way home :)

Have decided also, that I need to take the Hi-Lo's off and install the original suspension.....
