Have decided also, that I need to take the Hi-Lo's off and install the original suspension.....
Why's that?

Fitted some new rod change roll pins to the white one. New headlight in the red one because it lost dipped beam.

Checked and fixed indicators, lights etc, fuel gauge seems a bit erratic but will attend to that another time, at least it's doing something!

Dunno if its too low (doubtful as I can fit my fist between the wheel and the arch) or if a shocker has gone...
Whenever I go over a large ish bump or even a speedbump, I get a nasty bang from the rear... Didn't do it on the standard trumpets, so easiest thing for me is to swap the Hi-Lo's out for the standard ride height trumpets and see if it still does it...
Also have a unrelated thing to the Hi-Lo's, I think I need to fit a new lower balljoint on the front NS as that developed a knock whilst traveeling and also some wobble through the steering is happening too....

Stiffer dampers are your answer :) ,if its lower it'll be the damper bottoming out, as you'll need lowered dampers which allow further travel :)
Got an inch if that ground clearance on mine aha

You could be correct, I have the KYB GasAdjust installed...
Doesn't take long to change the trumpets, so will be a job for the weekend methinks...

Insured my 2nd car, thus the Mini is going into restoration tomorrow. Might have time for one last drive before she goes 'under the knife', or grinder more like.

I have KYB too. They can actually cope fine with sensible lowering, never had an issue with bottoming out on mine, which is lowered a little (so it looks nice but not dragging it's ar53) even with full camping gear loaded up to the point you can't see out the rear windows!
Sounds to me like you just need to raise the back a little. Certainly wouldn't go back to standard, no point - even if you just raised it up to standard height that would be the same net result, much easier and would retain the ability to adjust the height.
I just make sure that with the car jacked up, and the suspension on full droop, that the HiLo / cone assembly doesn't go slack to the point that it can move around, and use that as a 'go no lower' guide.

I understand what you're saying, but I'll change back to the original trumpets...
What I didn't say was I have springs fitted instead of the rubber cones, I still have the cones but they're passed their best to be honest
I'll change them tomorrow, weather permitting, and take it for a drive. See what happens...
