Finished cleaning up the chambers in my cylinder head and washed it out. Pulled in 1 cam bearing, second one I wasn't paying attention and I made it a bit less round than it should be, 3rd I didn't bother as I am going to turn up some proper tools to pull them in with.

Excellent :D

Found that the clutch cover bolts are the same thread as the breather can ones so cut a couple of spare ones down and fitted. Gear change rods fitted, thermostat housing cleaned up but found the thermostat was slow to open and barely came off it's seat - new one ordered. Brake calipers and drums painted with green engine enamel,  cant find the bottom near side engine steady - I'll probably trip over it tomorrow :shy:

The heater off-take stub had corroded so I searched around and found a couple of bits to make one. The flange came off the heater connection on my Minor when I fitted a 12G940 head and the brass stub is part of a heater off-take from a Commer engine, it fitted into the hole in the flange perfectly :-)

Haven't done any solver soldering for years but I managed ti stick the two bits together

Saved a few pennies :proud:

Had more parts arrive, can now fit carbs and exhaust. Same place that sent the parts can install a helicoil to fix my sump issue.
Just to trailer it over. Will get my screen rubbers done to, front one leaks.

Fitted new inner CV joint to the near side (couldn't get the old one off the knackered gearbox :mmkay: ) Then buttoned up both hubs, greased it up and had a bit of a tidy round. Only missing three sockets :-)
