had a ticking cv joint so bought a complete new drive shaft complete with cv joint etc £49 which I thought was bloody good. The only problem changing it was  the hole in the subframe is not big enough to get it through with the boot on it grrrrr, so a bit of a fiddle but its all nice and quiet now.

Drove it for its longest journey its ever had since being in my possession...... performed faultlessly....

Only a trip of around 50miles or so but did it with ease, lots of folk waving and smiles whilst on the motorway (M6 north bound)

Added soundproofing to the dash and made a shelf to go on the dash.

First proper day with it. Did oil and filters, spark plugs etc.

Then flushed the coolant out... holy mother that bottom jubilee clip is a pain, took me a very long time to undo. All of this was madr better by having to simultaneously entertain the daughter as the wife is away.

Both chrome door handles fitted now. Nice simple job that about a month! Haha!

Need to sort out the stuck brake pedal now. Suspect it's the return spring, but who knows!

Noticed that the new Minispares competition track rod end I've fitted (but not used on the road yet) has the rubber perished and cracked already! Not impressed with the quality of some parts Minispares sell.

Fixed the oil leak with two new tappet chest cover gaskets

And replaced the bottom hose for the third time this year >_<

But I now own a leak free Mini.... Well for now at least

Unfortunately it's the same with a lot of rubber parts not just on the Mini scene, if you bought the part from another supplier the issue would probably have been the same. Delphi seem to be able to supply decent quality rubber parts, give them a go.

Plus one for Delphi, I've used Delphi quite a few times recently and up to now they're not deteriorating.
