Removed the bonnet stripes so it looks less like a cooper wannabe. Then washed and polished it.

I wonder how many horsepowers I've lost without the stripes ;)

I thought the rule of thumb was 5bhp for stripes - it might be a bit less in Yorkshire and a bit more in London. But you’ve probably added 2/3bhp by polishing and of course the gold wheels are worth at least 10 :)

And with the air horns it's basically supercharged.

Ordered yet another primary gear thrust washer as the one I ordered was the wrong size (the company's mistake, not mine). De-greased and washed the underside to get rid of the oil mist residue from an old leak :mmkay:

Started cleaning surface rust off of the inner boot floor, think I have caught the tops of the wheel arches and battery box just in time.

Spot the difference..... A picture half way through a job to see how things change

Well, don't spot too many differences... I need to straighten a few things out.

Well today nothing.

Yesterday I looked at it in the garage and took a little Picture.

Tomorrow she’s coming out of the garage and will be stripped down to see what’s what before a full restoration

Repositioned the handbrake lever on the moke from the floor to between the seats . Much better now and no longer having to stretch down as far .

That's enough differences now!!
Found some dodgy connections in the old indicators, so of course bought all new indicators and headlights to replace the weird flat type I bought in error years ago.

Found out it was probably all down to a bad piece of wiring in the engine bay.

The wing mirror(s) wonky bonnet, bumper and number plate are all just 'character'
