Prepped the bulkhead ready for painting the treated rust patches.

Gave them a couple of coats of etch primer.

Then ordered Nightfire Red top coat. Should be all done by the end of week, all being well.

Mini Spares inlet manifold arrived today, so measured things up, screwed in the studs & painted the heater hose tails ( not going to be used anyway).

Fitted New window channels to the drivers door as the old ones had rotted away allowing the window to drop, what a pig of a job, 5 hours of swearing as it kept dropping out of the new channels I decided to use the old rubber seals instead of the new ones, that worked a treat!  i am glad that's over !

I would like to slightly change the header of the thread: What did you do to your Mini  d r i v e r  today?

My wife wished me preparing an English breakfast.

That's what I managed to do.

Well, modified it a bit, because we do not like the English sausages and they are unobtainalble here anyway I took Mini-Nuremberg roast sausages and thin crispy bacon the American way. Plus coffee for her and PG pyramid tips for me.

Bon appetit!

Now that looks good... could eat that anytime of day !!

And back to reality....replaced the lower disc shield.....strange one rusted, all the others are fine....and then one of those oh crap moments flew over a bump and the engine cut out....fortunately a quick press of the inertia button and off I went.

Completed the full engine rebuild for a 1993 'Open Classic' which my grandson is fully restoring prior to sale.
With the full-length power sunroof it will be great in the Summer.
