Not on the Mini but my Minor Traveller - but it's relevant I think.

I fitted one of these for the oil pressure gauge off take

 

 

Neater than a T piece

 

 

It can also be used for a oil temp take off but is only suitable for earlier engines as later ones had a different length banjo bolt. I suppose you could drill and tap and existing banjo bolt but maybe it would weaken it too much.

Dug the mk1 out of the garage. It was sitting surrounded by boxes since we moved in October. Started up (eventually) drove outside and gave it a well deserved wash to get all the dust off it. Dried off and put away, only accessible now should I fancy a run out.😁

Stripped down the carb and used a SU service kit to replace what i could and cleaned the rest...

Out for a blast around my local B roads above Llanrwst The weather has been fantastic recently so great for photos.

For those who like walking and climbing the mountains they are from Left to Right- Moel Siabod, Snowdon(three lumps), Glyders, Tryfan, Pen Yr Ole Wen, Carnedd Dafydd, Carnedd Llwelyn.

If you are ever in North Wales try the B5113 from Pentrefoelas to Colwyn bay. You won't be disappointed .

Finally got the full Maniflow exhaust system with the catalyst fitted!

New engine in. Few teething problems to iron out with bonnet closure issues....🙄

Breather hoses done. Exhaust clamps done. Engine steady on. Roll pin. Little bits and bobs

Up on axel stands, wheels off and cleaned. Running gear cleaned and prepped for new discs and ball joints.
