This is where it get pricey :sad:
Head = £1300
turbo = £400
crank = £400
rods = £250
pistons = £450
cam = £100
rockers = £150
flywheel = £150
clutch = £100
drop gears = £240
gearbox = £600
diff = £150
Custom s/s exhaust = £200
Injection system = £300
Its knocking on for 6 maybe 7 grand by the time I add all the plenumn and ancillaries. This doesnt even include the rolling road charge. This would be well out of my budget for the motor. Ive still got stuff to do to the shell yet :dontgetit: I think Im going to stick with the good old carb. Who knows, it might work like a dream :grin:

Not haynes no! Hardcore tech and resto, K1100 bike head swaps, turbo tech, nitrous motors, full body rebuilds etc. All secret until we launch. The name is under wraps until we have the trademarks sorted as BMW WILL register it to prevent it being used. There will be a proper launch and announcement nearer the time!

Ive already got alot of the stuff there but I dont want it to get stupid. If I could fit injection and have it remapped for not much more than fitting a carb then I would.

Talk to morspeed oldskool, they are a lot cheaper than that. They are doing my next turbo 998 block as I write. Injection still works out cheaper than the carbs and clockwork dizzy.

If you want a turbo on a more reasonable budget, then I would go for a 5 port and good old SU but use the megajolt lite junior EDIS based mapped distributorless ignition. I have that on my 998. You get 100% improvement in performance and economy. For less than £100 if you build it yourself.

Mapping is whatever your local RR charge per hour. Or using the Lambda sensor, free! (as long as you have an ignition map that's close - which you can find on Turbominis.co.uk.

I can PM you a load of info if you like so I don't hijack the thread...EFI or mapped ignition is MUCH simpler than carbs/dizzy. Really!

Not at all difficult. Going back to the start, what do you want to achieve? (HP, use, proposed engine spec etc),
