Both now have the same amount of thread showing but it still sits slightly higher on one side. I presume one of the cones is more warn than the other.
I love the look of the side its lowest on, but I think perhaps it might be a little to low. I have the SPAX on their hardest setting at the moment so it doenst bottom out on EVERY bump but, and I dont mind to much as its not my daily drive. But perhaps I should lift it slightly because as soon as I put any weight in the rear it will most likely rub.
What setting do most people run their SPAX at?

Getting in the car to go home the fire extinguisher got knocked and decided to empty itself all over the interior of Sonic! I couldnt get it out in time and by the time I got it unclipped, it was empty.
Before (some time ago)

I would blame the passenger & get them to clean it all up
LOL Bloody hell... Sorry mate had to laugh
Yeah I was a bit annoyed, but I did see the funny side. It was going for a good 5 seconds and alough she jumped out I just stayed in the car for most of it trying to get it off. The whole car was just full with "mist" and a couple walking past actually said to each other "whats that? Whats going on there?"
Ps, looks reallllly seriously good now buddy, you've done an amazing job, what a stunning little car!
Cheers mate. Still got a few things to do but its coming together just how I wanted it.
Still to do
1) Buy and fit 3 more turnbutton fastners for the tail gate
2) Go from 13s to 10" wheels (the dished wheels might be selling with the KOD father, so they will have to come off. I will get some Wellers for the time being)
3) Classic bucket seats Pref Cobra Cubs
4) New Headlining, Dash liner and door cards (They are going to be fairly special and I already have my quote from Chris at Retro retrims!)
5) Halogen Crystal headlights and new rings
6) New steal front
7)Upgrade the 998 that came in it to my MG 1275 or better (Again the MG engine might be going with the KOD father now, so I might be after another engine MG or Standard MG turbo, perhaps 1293 or 1330. Important is I know its running and healthy. I have a 1275 sitting here but I want to break that one down and mod it) Long term plans are 1.6 16v in the standard lengh round nose. So I dont want to spend a fortune on an engine thats only going to be in there for a year. the beauty of the 1,6 vaux is it can go in, and come out again with not much signs that it was ever in there in the first place
EDIT:
I am getting really fed up with the tree sap coming off the trees and sticking to it. I might have to get the KOD father out of the garage, park that on the drive and put Sonic in there now. No reason why the KOD father cant be the one sitting on the drive.

I also thought I would make use of their hose and tap and wash the pick up as it had got lots of sticky tree amber over it.

I took the load bay cover off and gave that a good wash and going over with some vinyl protector I found in my dads car stuff

I was really annoyed to find that the Laqure still hasnt hardend fully. and the bloody tree sap has actually marked it.

Also, a wet leaf was stuck to the roof. this has also left its mark!

I did manage to get some off the marks off with a lot of HARD elbow greace and some polish. But I wouldnt be able to do the whole roofby hand, I know my mates buying a buffing machine soon so hopefully that will get the marks off. Fingers crossed. I will nov ebe parking Sonic in the garage everu day/night. The KOD Father has come out the garage and moved onto the other drive way. I have put a car cover over the KOD father and its a good thing, as I can now go about tidying him up to sell.
today was also a day of finding lost things.
I found Hannas missing Ski gloves
A cup holder thing thats is meant to go on the back of a char and held in place by straps. It so happens it fits perfectly in the door bin!

I also found something I thought I had lost. A Navman DVD navigation thing with 7" screen etc etc! Most of the leas are there except the main one, but I spoke to my local guy who said he could make one up easy enough for £15. so result! I will soon have some entertainment! It also turns out that Sonics wiring for the radio is from a ford Escort! It feels dirty having that wiring in there! Lol

I will be using the front speakers, but these will be replaced in due time. I will also be using an AMP I have to run my 7x9s. I have nice handy little boxes for the 7x9s and they fit rather snuggly behind the seats next to the jack

Behind them, hidden away is my tools. So it all fits rather snug!

It was all going well, until I moved the pick up round the back so I could juggle cars around between the drives and I took the key out before it fully reached the off position. it was rather anoying! I couldnt get the key back in and it wouldnt move. I had to smack it with a hammer a few times to get it to "pop" into the right position

Juggling cars around, the Audi A8, Freddie and Sonic all got moved round into the comunal car park so I could get the KOD father out of the garage and move it onto the other drive way.

The Minis then got moved round to the front once the KOD father was taken out of the "other garage". I thought I would line up the minis for a nice little group shot. Sonic wasnt staying on this drive but his load bay was full of stuff that needed to either go into freddie or the KOD father, so it was usefull parking him close to unload.
From back to front
The KOD Father, Freddie, Sonic

the Garage was also give a quick (3 hour) clean ( I say clean but it was more just moving things around!) Believe it or not there is all of our camping gear in there (two tents, two gazebos, a double gas stove, 3 camping chairs, a fold up table and god knows what else!) There is also, four 10" wheels, four 12" Italian job wheels, 3 Audi tires (18") a rather large towing dolly strapped upright against the wall, an engine crane, two mountain bikes, about 8 rachet straps, a ladder, loads of bungey cords, about 5 large tins of new oil, 4 tins of old oil, water, cleaners and 3 bottles of brake and clutch fluid, 5 large bins of parts (carbs, steering wheels etc) a large roof box, a rear cycle carrier that takes two bikes, 2 normal gutter mini roof racks, an engine crane, a pair of gutter roof bars with two roof bar cycle carriers attached, and roof bars for the Audi! And I know I have missed lots out! Its pretty packed in there!

I finally made room for Sonic to squeeze in

Then the Audi A8 came round to guard the garage!

And Freddie was put in charge of Guarding the KOD father!

So we have Gaydon next weekend, and I have been thinking it would be nice to have a little music for the drive up. I have dug out an "old" Navman unit that I have had for a fair few years. It was due to go into another mini, but that mini never made it to the road (The KOD Father) so I have decided its going to go into Sonic.
I have had a route around the parents shed, my garage and my loft and managed to source enough bits for a farily average system.
So going in Sonic will be:
-Navman IDN 3000
-7" touch screen, MP3, Navman navigation, DVD etc...

- Two 6x9s in self encloused boxes that fit behind the seats and under the rear bulk head

- Two Sony tweaters
- Four Amps of different power (I think I will use the most basic, as I will only have the 6x9s running off it)
-Also, already in the car are two fairly basic speakers in the front, which I think I will replace with these, if I can find them!

I also have dug up some other supplies that I never got round to using.
The following WONT be going into Sonic and will be selling soon:

Not selling the Navman unit
