The wheels are finished.

I got some chavy ripspeed black dust caps. I doubt they will last long before some little goit thieves them.

It took about 5 mins to peel the tap off all the wheels. This morning was a bad decsion to cut my finger nails!

New arches fitted

New Sonic wheel centres (one missing  but all designed so they run forward)

Random rear shot

The wheels are a bit too shiney at the moment in contrast to the dirty car. I will give the car a clean and a polish tomorrow and hopefully the wheels wont be so shiney. I think its the flash on the camera thats spoiling the look of them.

Tucked up ready for an early start tomorrow

-Fit number plates DONE
-Fit hi los
-Replace CV gaitor
-Fit bonnet straps?

Looking good Neil. Hope we see Sonic on Sunday.

Mind you does this mean you need to paint Hannas' car red and call it Tails?

Well.... after an eventful few days and an extreamly bad day today, Hanna and I will now be going in her car.

Sonic was just about ready... when I moved him we discovered a wet patch by his rear wheel. I hoped for leaking shocks, I found a leaking rear brake cylinder. So Sonic is shoved in the garage in shame. And I am pretty fed up.

On top of it all, as I was driving my Audi A8 round to the back of my mates house to unload some parts I caught a concrete post and scraped the passanger side rear door and wheel arch. I have driven the A8 up there loads of times never with any problems... but it is a rather tight fit.

Really, REALLY fed up.

I was really disapointed to not have the pick up at London to Brighton, but hopefully Sonic will be at the next ace cafe meet.
I bought some bits for it, even if it doesnt deserve it!

Here are some pictures of the pick up when it got parked up in discrace.

It was a shame mate. You still had a brilliant time, though. Right? :) What a weekend!

So to do
-Change both rear brake cylinders
-Fit Hi los
-Fit Spax
-Fit airhorns
-Fit fabric tourneur cover. It came with different attachments so I need to get hold of the same Turnbutton fastners already on Sonic so I dont have to make new holes in the bodywork
-Take 1275 MG engine out of KOD father and check over and general tidy up
-Take 998 out of Sonic
-Fit 1275 MG block and Stage 1 kit to Sonic

Long term plans
-Change seats (Might be sooner than later If I can exchange the sears I have... the exchange is for cobra classics black with white pipping. I didnt really want these seats but they are better than I have at the moment.) Ideally I want a pair of Cobra / Speedwell Cubs
-Fit headling (I need to get hold of a headlining frame first. Something that is very rare for the pick ups! It would be nice to have some sound deading!)
-Fit door cars as it has none at the moment
-Fit dash linner. Again it doesnt have one!
-Fit stereo. the wiring is already there and I have a great Navman radio with a screen, I just dont know where I put the dam thing!
-Remove blue harnesses from KOD father and fit harnesses to Sonic (when I work out the best way to do it in the pick up.)
