I did see that top cover on ebay. I'm guessing it would go for more than I can afford, purely on the JCG connection! Black stitching on black does look good though, very subtle. I'll keep an eye on it, although I could get an aftermarket one probably for massively cheaper!
MOT in a few weeks!

I've got a friendly MOT inspector, just need to check my brakes and all should be well. Damn emissions

Anyway, that was as far as that went. Hopefully it's off to the garage to have that all sorted and generally checked pre-MOT. I feel bad not doing it all my self, but I don't really have the time to spend out in the garage. At least this way it should get done quickly, concisely, and anything else I may overlook identified.
So the spanners went back away, and...
I screwed this on!

And glued this on!

And I think that will do for today

I keep thinking the £100 or so it's likely to go for could be better spent elsewhere!
And I think I want an alloy gear knob again. The old one went with the handle set when I sold that, but the leather ones just seem to wear so much on the stitching. That'll be silly money for another Cooper one then

I can feel the MOT looming!

I picked up a replacement headlight adjustment motor from Dale in the hope I could get the offside working. Fitted that and it still doesn't work. It's a pretty simple circuit, all that I'm missing is a 12v at the motor from the fusebox. It's getting to the nearside, just not the offside. That means somewhere after that wire splits away from the other motor and switch, there is a break or something. It's all wrapped up in the loom so I'm not sure theres much I can do about it.
