Dear all enthusiast,
It´s been a long time since we last updated our build and the truth is we have been very busy this year with our studies and the project was left a bit behind. Now most of us have a job and although there is little time to further continue this project we have made some big plans for this new year 2014. Hope we all enjoy together the new updates and as always any comments or suggestions are more than welcome.
Best wishes,
N10 team

OOOPSSSS....
We have just started some huge changes in our project direction. Surgery has just started, more is still to come and some cracy ideas are running through our minds.
Anyone might guess what is going on and what we are planning for the N10 Mini????
Lets make out of this year a big year :)

And here it is... we now have the possibility of redesigning a new butt for the Mini. Any ideas you might want to throw in?

I would add extra door bars to give the bolt in frame some strength and rigidity, all of the frame will be pushing against the dash. I had a bolt in frame and slight movement was always apparent while acceleration and deceleration. If I built another it would be a race frame so that it was all welded together. whenever there is flexing in the chassis, it will result in the suspension geometry changing and give poor cornering.
As much as the shell doesn't give much strength at the rear end, it does give better rigidity as a whole. you will need to strengthen the frame, then fix the shell to the frame. to give you something trustworthy in m y opinion.
but keep up the good work, updates are always great to see.

Only just come across this project!
Very nice! What is it you are studying? I am currently doing a motorsport engineering degree, I have to say a bike engine mini would be great fun for my uni but we currently run a Formula Renault instead.
I will defo be following this one as its very similar to what I am currently doing with my uni and its always good to know what other are doing

Great advice Ed!! We have also notice there is not enough strenght in the chassis. Even with the entire shell we were not happy with it. When cornering you could feel displacement between the shell and the cage by putting your fingers in between as you mentioned. We will be adding some extra material to stiff it up. We are now working on some new ideas it and will let you know what we end up with.
The direction of our project is changing a bit and here are some updates:
What do you think? Guess what we are willing to do next...... XD

We are afraid we won´t have a video shortly. We decided not to use these rubber tracks as they are too weak (made for atv´s). The good news is we will make some proper ones and the snowmobile project is alive :)
Now we are undergoing some small changes as we are going back on the track. Little things like wiring, fuel and water hoses, seat rails, etc. are under improvement.
We are now looking into the best way to improve chassis stiffness. We will keep you updated.

Hi Guy, great build and progression here.
Just 1 question, were did you get the track rubbers from and how much if you dont mind me asking ?
Cheers,
Cliff
