hi mate, meant to text you back nut my phone has gone wrong...soooo new blackberry on the way :) i did sell that engine the other day as the guy offered me the asking price, why dont you turbo that 998 with the gt15 you have? im sure that would go like stink anyways and will prob be more fun :)

hey there love the project can anyone tell me what this shade of blue is? and if you dont mind me asking how much does it cost to have the bodywork and paint done like this just a rough price as im looking to do something like this thanks

I do like that bonnet, but are you cutting off the lip as you have a mk1 grill?

ha fair enough its good you got the asking price! not sure if im capable or got the funds of taking on the turbo task at the moment but i think it will either be re build a 1275 metro engine to the turbo spec or re build a gearbox for my current 998 and use the gt15. will have to see

its subaru world rally blue cant remember what the paint code is but with a bit of google searching its easy enough to find :D

thanks think im going to leave it as it looks as if it would leave quite a big gap when its in place, probably should have though of this more when choosing the bonnet :D

to be honest from what i have read the smaller bore turbo is more fun to drive, may be worth doing a suck thru set up as they are few and far between and give much better power (from what i have heard)

ok so have been lazy lately and only just gettin round to sorting the engine out. I have managed to find a low mileage 1275 metro engine for a good price so ill be using that as a replacement for the old 998 pics below

looks terrible but runns a treat will be aiming to get the engine out the metro and clean it all up this week

Good looking car & swift engine change too! Did you have much of a problem with the wheel arches? I just offered mine up & they don't fit that well.

Thanks not any problems to honest had the same ones on my old car so make a template for the front wings to cut away for wheel clearance. Placed the arches and marked the holes when you rivet them on you might find they bend into place more but if there made badly would send them back
