Just a quick question or two, I see you have a wishbone rear setup. Have you calculated the hieght of the Roll Centres front and rear, are they above ground ? if so by how much ?
Also whats the Effective Swing Arm length of that rear setup ??? Have you made it or is it a Indy style rear ?
I ask this because my De Dion like any other fixed axle (and like the Zcars Swing style), has a roll centre hieght fixed at the wheel centre line ( Mines 11" on the rear ), so not to unbalance the car have had to have the front wishbone Roll Centre hieght within 2" of the rear, so the front is 9" above the ground..
The advantge you have is in making both your roll hieght a lot lower to the ground, which should when setup correctly work better on a track....

I can only answer a few questions mate.
Basicly yes it is based on the Indy suspension set up but slightly smaller in size, i was given a few pointers by Martin Keenan from MK Engineering, he has just built a fiat 500 for Lee Oliver aka Z-Cars Mini, and has also in the past built a bike engined Mini for someone else.
My setup is very similar to this but obviously Martin did not want me to replicate it in any way or form as he has big plans.
I was going to do a trailing arm set up as Z-Cars do but, as i had already built an MK Indy i thought this would be easyer to do.

But i must say, i think if i was to do another i would try this trailing arm set up as it seems easier to do.

what............. You have already painted it?? What colour???
ps, did you get to oulton park on saturday??
Not painted the car, only the rear suspension unit.
Mate who is going to paint the car said we need to sort out the arches and do a little filling first, but will be ok as a rolling (running

As for Oulton park, no i did not go but from all counts it was a little disapointing i was told, did you go.
