I have one, but its a Motocross lid (used to race) and i dont know how the visor would react in such windsThe choice is yours. If you have one bring it along, i have a spare but only wear it if it's cold or a track day.. With or without. It's F---ing great fun.
chocolate jazz, thanks for the comment.

Hmmm... must see how much i could build one for, see if it is possible.
Its either my mini gets a complete rebuild, with bike engine.... or its replaced with a 3.5litre V8 land rover defender, until i can afford to convert a mini.
However, something tells me that once i see your mini up close, the landy will drift out of the question

Will be having a butchers at Ades Minus at the show too.
Ahhh! Surrounded by nice cars! *mmmmmmmm bike engines*

I do very much want to... hence really wanting to come and see yoursDo the mini mate, you know it's the right thing to do.

Only problem i have, would be funding, and then getting time to complete the actual conversion itself.
If i had your welding and design skills i would have no doubt already begun the project, but alas, i do not.
What would you estimate would be a realistic cost for such a project, considering i already have a full mini, with suitable shell, wheels, steering wheel, bucket seats, harnesses, windows and more... etc..
Things i think i would need are;
engine, the expensive bit
full roll cage,
suspension,
brakes,
engine mounting/subframe, the other significantly expensive bit
fuel tank,
radiatior,
all connections for plumbing,
wiring loom,
clocks,
dash,
extras required to complete the build, whatever they may be

Also, i'd go for a full respray too.
Any ideas?

engine, the expensive bit. R1 carbed = £1000
full roll cage, Mini sport front and back converted = £400.00
suspension, front spax coilovers + springs = £240.00
suspension, back gaz adjustable shocks = £190.00
brakes, metro 4 pots, from scrappy. = £ ?. got mine free .
engine mounting/subframe, the other significantly expensive bit. Don’t know as yet still playing
fuel tank, = £300.00
radiatior, = £ 40.00
all connections for plumbing, = £ 150.00
wiring loom, should come with engine, if not about £60.00 on ebay
clocks, should come with engine, if not about £80.00 on ebay
dash, home made ally or fibreglass on from Custom mini’s(EH LES!!)
extras required to complete the build, still adding up.
whatever they may be.
There are other bits and bobs, but I think about £3500.00 max should cover it, but there is my time which is not included. “It’s a Hobby”

Full respray, in professional spray shop. Cost of paint and couple of pints for my mate.
Considering Z-cars kit is £5000.00 then you have to get an engine and some other bits i think it's pretty reasonable.
What out if interset, have some of the guys out there with Z-cars conversions spent?. Bet they don't want to add things up like me either.

Come on tell us please.

Then loads of parts needed to get to where a normal person would have started! then add in cost of one off kit and I probably have come of about 11k lighter.
But I could of done it a lot cheaper!
But I wanted the finish I have!
