Very mechanicly minded, Very good at welding, tea and coffee a speciality. Not good at lending money though. I spend it, QUICKLY.

OWT REALY

hmm... very good at welding.... i'd never have guessed :w00t: :fear:

would sir be willing, for a fee of course... and as many cups of tea/coffee as one could handle... to perhaps fabricate another one of your wonders? :P

IF i can work out a way of getting everything sorted.. i'm willing to take out a loan to fund it all.

I am willing to help, but my car design has to be tested and proven first. Then who knows what might happen.

That'd be brilliant matey!

When do you envisage you will be at the testing stage of your build?

clocks, should come with engine, if not about £80.00 on ebay
dash, home made ally or fibreglass on from Custom mini’s(EH LES!!)
extras required to complete the build, still adding up.
whatever they may be.

Les sounds good to me, will put the kettle on. :w00t: .
Good to hear your so busy, but it stops you from doing your own project. Which is a bummer.
Spaceframe builder?. Anyone we know.

Just thought of another possible issue...

I presume you considered the handbrake, if so, did you come up with a way of making it work?

Handbrake is cable operated.

How does it actually work then?

Never really understood how handbrakes on disc brakes work? :w00t:

Cable operated hand brake on the rear disc set up works in the same way as the drum.
When you apply the foot brake the pistons clamp the disc. But when you put the hand brake on the cable pulls, say a small lever whch in turn clamps the disc. So that way the pistons are not use. It would make more sense to see it working realy.

If anyone wants an R1 engine and can actually afford it right now... then the one i posted the link for on ebay, a couple of pages back, is going for just short of £900 with 4 hours left... worth a look perhaps?

I'd have it, but i need to be sure i can afford everything first.

Joe, Just found your project on LoCostBuilders forum

I shall be trying to gather together enough money for an engine, that way i can't change my mind

I've found a place in Yorkshire that is selling a load of different superbike engines, going to get in touch later today when i finish work, see what they have and at what prices.
