Good one Carlos. It's coming along nicely. Do you plug/spot weld the A panel and then de-seam or do you weld it straight in without the flange? Not that I'm thinking of trying it!!

Thanks Darren, in some respects I'd like to do another! I've learned so much I think I could make a much better job of it!Coming together nicely now Carlos the finishing is getting much better which means less filler lol
But there's no time, money or space for that!

A big day yesterday, The O/S A panel is now attached to the car! It still needs de-seamed but that means all the panel replacement is done!
I also put pads and discs on the Mazda which was an absolute mare of a job, the retaining screws wouldn't come out, then the disc was rusted to the hub!
After that we gave up, all the neighbours were in the gardens enjoying the sun and I didn't want to be making loads of noise in the garage!
Once the de-seaming is done we can crack on with filler!
In primer this year? MAYBE!

Are you using ear plugs when grinding Darren? I find this makes a massive difference in how tired I get!Ah how I long to be done with the welding well to tell the truth it's the grinding I hate can't wait to get the filler boogies instead of the black ones lol

Well, after a fantastic week in France, and a silly week at work I've got 4 days off!
I went on a little bit of a bender last night and feel rough today!
However, the Mrs is at work so down to the garage I went!
A spot of filling and sanding and this is where we are!
De-seamed, filled and a quick lick of paint!
And this is the A panel to wing join (work in progress)
More to come on Wednesday!

A pretty uninspiring day today!
The Mazda went for an MOT yesterday and got an advisory on handbrake efficiency.
So I stripped the N/S pads out, filed the edges, took the handbrake cable off, pumped the pedal, operated the lever on the caliper, put back together, adjusted the handbrake and all is well.
On to the mini!
That was pretty uneventful too
I welded up all the spot weld holes in the front panel
Then did some more filling but I didn't take any pictures of that!
I'm going to try and spend at least a day a week on the car now! It's been nearly 3 years since I started this thread and it's starting to frustrate me!
I've learned also, that with wet and dry the bitterness of poor quality lasts long after the cheap price is forgotten. The stuff I bought from ebay falls apart when it gets wet!
