It is indeed looking good Carlos. Have you filled the seam with anything or just welded it up?
Just welded it up Graham

The plan is to lose the seams between the scuttle and the wing, then I realised I shouldn't be doing this unitl we'd deseamed the A panel and A post.
Anyway, here's a little pic of the first skim

Before the A panel can go on we need to refit the door to line it all up.
Bearing in mind the car has had a front floor panel, inner sill, door step, outer sill, flitch panel and rear 1/4 I'm amazed that it fits so well.

Hello Carlos. That front end is super, far better than mine. Having the guts to redo it really impresses me. Your work always does.
All the best, Hugh
Hugh, the front end isn't right and it annoys me!
I may have to modify where the front of the wing meets the bottom of the bonnet on the nearside!
Your progress impresses me

You dont need all that safety ****, some glasses to protect your eyes from sparks, and thats it, tou dont need a full face mask and or gaunlets and eardefenders!Hi mate, like the sound of doing it right!
But please get yourself some gloves (gauntlets) and wear that face mask every time you use the grinder or anything that flings hot or cold metal. No point having a car if you can't see! Whilst I'm on the safety trip you might as well get some ear defenders, it's far less tiring for some reason when your ears aren't getting battered by an angle grinder/hammer etc
Regarding the subframe, underseal over powdercoating is probs your best bet, it'll look tidy if you get it right but not pretty ^^ If you use the right brand it'll set slightly soft but dry, less likely to chip and should protect the coats underneath a bit better - layer it on.
Look forward to progress!

Look what arrived today
A series spares alarm, immobiliser, central locking and electric winsow car
In other news, N/S A panel is on, de-seaming has started on the A pillar.
I'm collecting the O/S door from my dads at the weekend then we'll be cracking on with the other side.
Loads of other things going on, just never seem to get any time!
I still aim to see it in colour this year

Just for you Graham, I have found some pics on my phone
A panel seam welded on the inside before cutting the lip off (excuse my dodgy filling above, work in progress but stopped as I needed to blend into the A-panel)
And.......
The next project, this was a massive impulse buy, but it can live in the garage for a couple of years until I get round to sorting it
