I think i know why

Is it a secret, or is it because the bonnet is sitting forward?

What's it like down in the rain gutters in that back corner? i seem to remember we put some filler in there and there were some plug welds on the wing flange that were too far back to reach with the grinder.

I bet that's stopping the rubber sitting down far enough??

I've done a bit of work with welds etc, I think I need to make sure the seal is sat as low as possible.

If it sits too low without the rubber than it must be something stopping the rubber.

What sort of state are the lips that the rubber pushes onto? Are they crisp?

They're alright.

I'll refit with a piece of wood and a hammer

Ok, I've refitted the seal and due to the way the hinges are, it just doesn't compress so I've left a flywheel on the bonnet.

My next challenge is to get the van grill to fit, but it needs some trimming.

Cheers Graham,

The plan is to get it into paint this summer. There's just some little finishing touches needed before that.

Time is a huge issue at the moment

More leaps forward made today. The drivers door frame has been cut and a piece added to improve the gap, although it wasn't as big as the passenger side, it needed sorting.

Ben has been round and worked like a trooper whilst I have been in and out trying to look after the baby.

More to come soon.......................

I've decided this is a good place for a list.

Sort gutter

Sort passenger door frame

Sort drivers door shut

Bonnet

Grille

Grille holes in front panel

I think that's it.
